This morning, I decided to go exp on my 54SMN in Kuftal Tunnel and I noticed I was missing 5 HQ staves. If you have all 8, you know how they sort in inventory: Vulcan, Aquilo, Auster, Terra, Jupiter, Neptune, Apollo, Pluto. Before I left Jeuno with the exp party, I could have sworn I had all my HQ staves.

So I'm in the exp party and I tried to switch to my Aquilo staff and notice it's not there. I search my mog in all 3 areas (moghouse, storage, moglocker) and I don't see that staff and 4 others. For a minute, I thought of the possibility that I may have npc'd or tossed out by accident a staff...but 5 staves?

I place a GM call and notify the GM who replied to my call that I'm missing 5 HQ staves. He tells me "oh man that sucks don't share your account or use third party tools, windower!" I do none of that...share account, use windower, etc. I'm thinking after the call that I must have done the unthinkable and tossed out or npc'd 5 HQ staves.

So after we finish the exp party, the WHM teleports the remaining members to Holla. I check my inventory on hand and my 5 missing HQ staves are back. Did the GM give them back to me? Was it a freak glitch? Anyone else experience something weird like this?

This has happened to me before. It has to do with the freaky moghouse lag in whitegate

some of your mobs might have borrowed them while you were fighting. you should have asked for them back nicely

Solar winds, weather balloons, etc. But no, I never saw anything like that when I played.

The GM didnt put them back on your character. The only way a GM will refund items back to a character is by transporting a character to jail and trading the items with the character. It is policy and its hardly broken. GMs cant use the mail system because their names are reserved throughout all servers.

I had my WS Equipment all disappear for a few hours. Still hasn't come back and I know I didn't sell it.

Heard of this twice, a dude's koenig schaller and valor coronet disappeared but later reappeared when he left sea and logged out/in, but there was a maintenance involving some sea problem soon after that.

Another time skibear's mahatma slops disappeared and later reappeared when he died/homepointed.

This silly crap only happens to people who play on the computer. lol

deci, what goes on when that happens.. all of the planets in the solar system align, and geese try to swoop down to grab some cheesecake, the earth rotates in a counterclockwise motion and the molecules of air clash into your PC and creates a vortex around the items that you had causing a glitch in the game for you to be missing those staffs..

or maybe it was just the game fucking up on you..

i'd go with my theory.

It is a glitch Decimus. I could not find some of my items either in my inventory and I was 100% sure they were there. Sometimes the loading from one zone to another does not complete properly. I was once able to wear redmage af on a 54 summoner/whm. If you want to level up your summoner btw give me a holler we can do it in Ifrits.

I'm not

I didn't start using macros until a few months before I quit. It gets boring going up in levels with the same people who have stupid /p macros that're the same each time, especially if they're spelled wrong on something easy.

No, that's what you call an emergency system maintanence in the brain.

Good thing they dont take 3hours like FFXI servers take.

I go away for a few days to come back to fun... I'm so glad to see everyone playing nice with each other.

Anyone want to make out?
