New MMORPG in Development by Square-Enix

A new, untitled, next-gen MMORPG has been announced by Square-Enix. The release date for the game is unconfirmed as of now, but it is certain to be released for the PS3 and PC (Windows Vista).

More details will be posted as information becomes available.

Keep in mind that that report was posted on Gamespot back in April and we haven't heard anything yet so skepticism is warranted. He could have been talking about Fantasy Earth

More like Xbox 360 limitations if they make it for that system, which was also rumored to happen. The tech demos SE ran for the new MMO were supposedly on the 360 SDK. I have believed that FFXI was an experiment for SE's next MMO for a while now. Surely they will have learned at least a few lessons from FFXI that can be applied to their next MMO.
