Honestly, i saw Batallia downs [S] was under attack, so i went out there, searched for the fight area, once i found it i got my tags, and then 10mins later the NPCs spawned, and then 10min after that i left because not a single beastmen showed up, that doesn't seem better than besieged...

As for the new jobs, i haven't gotten to see them in action yet, i got dancer to 7 before i got bored, and i got scholar to 2 so far, i really hate the solo 1-10 lol

Other than that, the expansion so far is kinda disappointing, I wish they would release more than like 3 missions.

I've gotten 27,000 exp in 3 or 4 days of campaign battle.

Campaign battle is fun, campaign ops are a breeze, the farming is good, the jobs are alright, and the music is great. Hoping whatever major update is in store for Dec/Jan is solid.

Yea. My dancer is only 24. I've only solo'd since my gear is gimp (I'm not going to buy low lvl gear when my space is limited and I'm not going to pay for the inflated gobbie bag items) but its a beast at soloing. TP cures and endrainga is hot.

The job is fun at the moment and I plan on wearing my Denali gear for it unless the AF ends up having hot stats. And about the look of dancer, my corsair gets the same responses when I wear the AF hat. If the job is fun I'll play it.

By the way I would have never thought I'd be such a fan of hybrid support jobs but both COR and DNC keep my playing.

Oh and you talk about looking fruity, brd has that same look for a male.

Yeah BRD looks really fruity too haha. I don't play FFXI anymore though. COR and DNC are encouraged to melee/do dmg, and not just buff people constantly. That would make them less boring I guess, even though auto-attack is the very definition of boring imo. BRD is all buffs, all the time. Especially with that rumored increase in single target songs.

No, no. What's priceless is that Scholar (which everyone thought would be broken awesome) is basically a shitty blm+a shitty whm thrown together while Dancer (which everyone thought would be retarded) is wicked friggin awesome.

Campaign battle is fun but they kinda killed it in a patch yesterday, made it happen less often. Before yesterday there would literally be battles going on non-stop. You could teleport to one battle, fight it, warp back to your nation, and teleport out for another battle elsewhere all day. It was so fun. Non-stop, fast-paced, small-scale besieged happening with the original beastmen foes, including their kings and various present day stronghold NMs, AF3 nms, and dynamis NMs. With it happening less often now, and lasting shorter spans of time for the most part, there's not much reason to be in the past right now. Unless of course, you've found a nice solo exp spot.

Great start, disappointing patch, mega-epic story potential. I expect huge battles when the northlands (Bastion of the Dark Kindred Forces, ooh la la) become available. Til then I'm leveling samurai. lol
