Okay, I did my whole update and patch and everything the other day, and now my windower keeps crashing when I open FFXI.

A friend of mine had called me after her update finished because hers was doing the same thing.

Anyone else having this problem? Did SE change something that crashes the 3rd party windower, or something like that?

Parade never run windower when you update the POL and FFXI or it will crash most of the time, Beside I don't use windower anymore.

why do people still use windower after SE released a windowed mode?
Why bother with TParty, no one SCs anymore!

- I've seen people on the internet claiming to have changed the game's interface and then played the game. Why haven't these people's accounts been banned yet?
With only the insufficient information from a website to go on, we cannot make a judgment regarding the situation. Of course, the use of external programs displaying party members' TP or alliance members' MP is prohibited. If the Special Task Force can verify that a player has been using such programs, this evidence can be used to ban the player in question.
Also, many such unauthorized external programs have the ability to steal one's PlayOnline ID and password. To protect yourself from the possibility of unauthorized third-party access to your account, please refrain from using programs not approved by Square Enix.

that's SE fault for fucking up the window mode, When windower made it work better than SE.

this = me exactly.

I don't really like the official windower so I keep using the 3rd party one, just with all the plugins disabled.

Although I found out what the problem was and fixed it now. Something to do with one of the .dll files that had to be updated.

The Recast plugin is what usually fucks up windower. Just turn off all your plugins before logging in after an update.

And umm... The unofficial windower has this nice macro feature that allows you put an entire gear change set up on one line. I don't like having to hit 2 macros just to change to a WS set up then another 2 to switch back to a TP set up.

When I found out about FFXIAH key logger I deleted windower, cuz they were both made by a guy named cliff. I'm not sure it's the same cliff, but I think it is. Beware of cliffs! I got in an accident on Cliff Rd, coincidence, I think not! Beware of any software made by anyone named cliff.
