So I was fucking around on the tubes and came across vids of unreleased ffxi zones, one even dating back to pre-zilart expansion called Sel Phiner.

first zone - test zone for game mechanics i think.

and the wings of the godess zone= wow!

Yeah it looks like a new Sky\Sea style zone to me.

Ive seen plenty of screen shots of the first video.

you know what you're prolly right considering they didn't have the atomos test server to begin with. It was probably just that zone.

it would explain the train, which in game would only be related to bastok, but with windy trees which is not native to that continent. good call bro lol.
