Hey idk if u guys remember me, but i used 2 summon like colorful animals and give u guys buffs. Back in the day lol. I just found this url on my old computer and wanted to see how everyone is doing and whats going on in the ffxi world. How is the game? Are u all still a linkshell and everything else like that. Nice to hear from familiar faces. I played wow right after ffxi and then quit like a year later. Took a long ass break from mmo. Now i just bought warhammer, but my friend is addicted to WoW so idk what im gonna do mmo wise. So is it tru that HNM are really not focused on in ffxi anymore, i read it somewhere. I see these forums are used so rarely now days it makes me sad i forgot about them before now. I saw the cobra kai site for WoW, i assumed they were the same. Anyone kno where the hell Rydall went? some of u may kno him. -zadan |

playing an mmorpg and having a gf is the best for 2 reasons 1. it actually makes them MORE jealous than if you were like a manwhore fucking other bitches. Like seriously nothing irritates them more than playing backseat to a videogame. However, women (being the crazy broads they are) will actually stick around and torture themselves trying to win your attentions over the game. Total win/win situation for a dude. -and of course, the best reason- 2. engaging in some sort of deviant sexual act while doing an event and on vent/ts. For those of you who never tried this.. seriously missing out... seriously |

haha hey zadan, i remember your name but i am unable to place what character you were. could you describe your old character for me? i've spent a lot of my time subduing my nostalgia of the game and attempting to not reminesce, so i dont exactly have a clear memory of everything that happened in my 180days played anymore. i've been attempting to remember an old friend of mine who had the same character model as me back when i played, but one month he quit and i quit a month or two later and never spoke to him again. it might be you, or you might just be an different old friend =] it might even be rydall, because that name sounds familiar too. the friend im looking for was 18 years old 5-6 years ago and spoke Japanese but lived in the states. hahaha... cant believe i just wrote a long message about this old investigation of mine, but whatever. in the end, how the fuck are you doing? =] |

Well well, my ears must have been burning. To answer your question zadan, I believe i quit a few months after you and fabian left for wow. (Btw is he the aforementioned friend of yours that is addicted to wow?). I remember leaving the ls after a feud with yarr over nothing substantial. I came back close to a year later right around the time the ls split off into decimus' and ilma's (or whoever the official leaders were). Needless to say, I didn't come back for that drama and stopped playing yet again. I had also just started seeing a girl who I am still seeing today. I made the inevitable journey to wow around early/mid BC. Funnily enough, One fateful day in SSC, one of my fellow raid members said something not typically used by wow gamers. I believe he said something about having "hate" rather than aggro. Regardless, we began talking and it turns out he not only played FFXI but played on ifrit. He was one of the thunderxxxx, although which eludes me atm --one of the elves samurai and/or monk i believe-- But I Digress, I casually played with 4 IRL friends on stormreaver yet still managed to clear the easy mode that is WOTLK tier 7 in a few weeks and haven't really played since december. Wall of text crits you for over 9000. How are you and fabian doing? (and anyone else that I played with for that matter) |

Hey whisp, the guy i was looking with the same character model for was a WHM. dont remember his LS, but he used to be the english's only connection with the japanese guy who could make scorpion harnesses. i could only imagine he was in cobrakai since i spoke with him a lot. wish i had some of those old screenshots... shit. apparently it wasny rydall because he's not a whm. anyways, this guy was one of the higher lvl whm english players because he pt'd with japanese like i did. there could only have been a few english whm's with my character model at the time, which is why this little search of mine has any value at all. oh, and as you might have noticed, i started a thread ("Ridere") thinking Ridere was the guy i was looking for, but i talked to him on AIM a while back and he couldn't speak Japanese, so I was mistaken, though ridere was a good friend too. btw sorry for hijacking this thread :>( |

The only remaining ckd players I can think of off the top of my head are Strange, Kaylia, Loranne, and Katariana. A few likely leaving the game soon. Might sound odd for those who remember drama heyday but since late 2007 I've played through all facets of endgame and questing with Kaylia and we've become proper stalwarts. Quite solid friends. At this point though neither of us play very much anymore. |
