Damnit! I want to play this game again. So I've been farting around on my Tarutaru char on the Alexander server, but I went to FFXIAH and noticed that Katariana and Ridere haven't logged any AH activity for awhile. Is she still around? Maybe I can finally get Ridere back. Anyone know? I wouldn't mind trying to get ahold of her. Thanks! haha |

i knew whisp was banned forever, so i restarted last summer. i got to 45 in about a month before i had to abandon it in favor of focusing on school once the new semester started up. ...but it's summer again ;p |

starting over wasn't so bad. i thought it was fun. although you know whats funny. every lowbie exp party i was in, we'd be having small chit chat, then someone would say something incorrect about the game mechanics, so i'd correct them, they'd be like, "Well who are you to say?" i'd be like, well i was one of the first players in this game. every party. i tried to keep it to myself but it always came out ... lol |

i love seeing a whm cast dia & bio over and over or the black mage that insists on casting poison the red mage who melees for 1 damage long after enthunder wears off, just giving the monster more TP for nuthin best is the noob who targets the leeches instead of the party-targeted crab in valkurm hehe fun times! |

Well, FFXIAH shows activity from Kat and Rid ending around the start of this year. Which makes me think that she either got bored with the game, or she got banned. I'm hoping the former, which means she'd be okay with maybe giving me the account back, so I can fart around for the next year until FF14 comes out. |

oh it was Katariana that controlled Ridere? i talked briefly with Kat when i played last summer. she was extremely bitter about CKD, complained about the game, and really bad mouthed Yarr. i told her i was sorry for whatever happened, but that i stand by Yarr no matter what. that was pretty much the end of that conversation. |

i tried to play again recently and found it to be mind numbingly slow-paced and boring. it's worthless to me without the social aspect.

Well, that's kind of why I'm trying to bypass doing a lot of the things, like the limit quests and such. :D Money is my biggest enemy right now, sadly. I just wish FF14 was out already, but it's looking like it won't be out this year. |

I've been playing super casually leveling BLM for a couple months. Have to agree about the slow pace, but, it's been interesting to work my way through the different quests and stuff. I'm glad I only gave away my non-Ex gear and not my account. It's nice to have a 75 PLD to knock stuff that I would have needed to group up for otherwise. The job is also a money maker and I've used merit points for +INT for BLM. I can't imagine I'll ever be into FFXI hardcore again. I'm still a guild/raid leader for WoW and that's a real timesink. But, it has been interesting to play FFXI, see how the game has evolved, and try the new stuff out. |

Yah, I know things are a lot slower now, and it won't be like it was back in the hay day. But there are lot of annoying things I would like to skip, if I could get away with it. I'm not too terribly interested in doing limit quests, re-raising my fame, or doing the ZM, CoP missions again. I kind of just want to work on other jobs here and there, and putz around in zones I miss walking through. Would like to take a stroll through Sea and Sky again and such. As for WoW, I had a blast 5-boxing it, but I got frustrated as soon as I got to the point where I was able to 5-box through the heroics for badges. I guess I just didn't want to replace my gear every new update. I can see that as being really cool for a lot of people, but I kind of like the way that if I had never gave Kat Ridere all those years ago, he'd still be able to wear that awesome Noble's Tunic, because gear didn't totally get replaced all the time. Moreso just situational pieces. |

its kind sad but also nice, that this board is basically my only contact with anyone in FF. i never really shared phone numbers emails or anything with anyone. well.. mikey is on my playstation network. and i think eternus is on my facebook. |

Yah, it has been interesting to see people poke in here over the years. Hopefully Dead can work some magic for me. I don't have access to most of the stuff on the Valour forum without logging into it, and I don't know if they are even reviewing new account requests right now. |

I wonder if they still have deep nightly discussions about not so trivial things like the meaning of life and what part of the body does the soul reside in? |
