Solo to 10 like usual, then pal around Konschtat with your flag up, someone will most likely invite you to a Grounds of Valor paty in Gusgen Mines. Do that til 28 or so then go to Crawler's Nest with your flag up for another GoV party til 75? I don't know, I only used it to level my subs up to 49. Then Abyssea exp til whenever.

Just trying to get my subs up to 50, havn't bought the add ones yet. Just been running around half naked killing things lfp. Not much luck finding pts though, probablly the time I play is the reason.

Lol, I remember watching you do that once, Kitty. I was jealous! haha. Sounds like EXP is a lot easier now, and the draw of using RareEx items only is kind of appealing.

Must... resist...

Yea, you're going to want the add ons for 75+ EXP in Abyssea. And hasn't leveling always been boring? At least now with all the GoV, alliance exp, and abyssea dom ops, exp is much much much less of a grind than it use to be.

For the most part, you get a bunch of random item drops from exping in Abyssea. I've gotten lucky a few times and made a decent amount of money from them, from the AH. Once you start in Abyssea, you get money for those areas called Cruor, and you can buy armor sets with it. A lot of people just buy those repeatedly and vendor them for a decent amount of gil.

I believe this is the info when ifrit was removed and moved everyone to new server.

This was mentioned on LS earlier, surprised nobody posted it earlier since it was announced beginning of the week.

Quote:
To allow players to enjoy all the content the game has to offer, we will be performing a World Merge.

Please refer to the "Guidance on the World Merge" below for more details.

[Guidance on the World Merge]

- Schedule
World Merge will be performed during the upcoming maintenance scheduled for Mar. 16, 2011. Once the maintenance is complete, characters from the "Source Worlds" will be migrated automatically to the "Destination Worlds."

* The schedule for the maintenace will be released at a later date.

- Details on the World Merge
The following is a list of Worlds designated for the World Merge.

Source World -> Destination World

Ramuh -> Bahamut
Alexander -> Shiva
Titan -> Phoenix
Gilgamesh -> Carbuncle
Unicorn -> Fenrir
Ifrit -> Odin
Diabolos -> Siren
Caitsith -> Ragnarok

* Other Worlds will not be affected.

- Things to note for the World Merge

Character Data:
Other than the data listed below, all character data will be transferred to the new World. This includes character status, items held by the player character, items stored in Mog safes, banks, and the like, items held by NPCs, gil, and key items.

Character Name:
In cases where a character with the same name already exists on the "Destination World," you may be required to change the name of your character. If this is necessary, your character name on the character selection screen before login will be displayed in yellow. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the change.

Changing the character name will not affect data such as your Friends List.

Items stored in the Delivery Box or Auction House:
Items and gil stored in the Delivery Box or Auction House will be deleted automatically when the World Merge takes place. Please move them to your character's belongings or Mog Safe before the World Merge.

Please note that items and gil lost in the merge cannot be restored through the Item Restoration service.

Added Mar. 2, 2011 at 22:10 (PST):
* Items and gil will only be deleted on the "Source World." There will be no impact on the "Destination World."

Linkshell, Pearlsack and Linkpearl:
Pearlsacks and Linkpearls cannot be carried over to the "Destination World," and will disappear during the World Merge. Linkshell owners will receive an unopened Linkshell when they log into the "Destination World" for the first time. Unopened Linkshells will not be affected by the merge.

Please note that you will need to create a new Linkshell Community after creating a new linkshell on the "Destination World."

- Suspension of the World Transfer Service
The World Transfer service will be suspended from Mar. 7, 2011 7:00 a.m. PST until the World Merge is complete.

well, I broke down and reinstalled. But I'm not Shiva. Not sure if I should shell out the money to transfer over to Odin. I did go from 38 to 50 in one day, though, but now I'm stuck at the limit break. haha.

Ancient Papyrus - Can I have it?

Random memory from FFXI, I remember seeing Ridere in Eldieme Necropolis when I was trying to farm my paper with other level 50 peeps. I was like "omg wow a 75 white mage".

I got my Ancient Papyrus early, and it was Johnpaul that helped me do it. Then it was more fun in the Necropolis with Ruby and Ilm and Koda for coffer keys. I think Kayne showed up at some point as well. Man, reading Gal's posts and reminiscing on this stuff makes me want to play again. I'm resisting the urge. I'm getting the new PC's sometime this week, gonna try out FFXIV.

Still planning on FFXIV for now. If it gets as boring as Kayne says, I'll most likely be back to FFXI in a couple of months. I will have to find my character that I gave away...

Let me know which one you choose. I am pretty sure I'll be sticking with XI, I just like the feel to it better. Try out 14 and make your own choice. I told my brother to reactivate and play again, not sure if he will. If you have to make a new character I'll help you get what you need. Most of the older stuff is obsolete. The lvl 78 armour set that I bought for 60k total was an upgrade from my rare/ex.

If you can search around for Biazejohnson, I gave my toon to him and his wife, but I don't remember what her name is/was. If they are still on, you can pretend to be me, or pass a message on from me to get the login info.

I'll keep an eye out for him, you could try calling SE, b/c you have all the original information. When I reactivated liek 2-3 years ago, after like 2 years, I needed all my original info, like address and everything. That was very hard due to my nomadic lifestyle at the time lol.
