The main posters on this board aren't, but there are a few people who peek in every now and then who still play together. I've no clue what servers anyone is on anymore, however.

I used to play Ifrit with one of your members named Mintsy, close to a decade ago, I'd guess. I was considering coming back and was doing a little research to see if anyone I might even somewhat remember still played >,<

Had I the hardware, I'd give XIV a shot. Nostalgia (and limited specs) bring me back to FFXI.

I remember Mintsy

I still may play FFXI some more. It all depends on how FFXIV 2.0 turns out.

I remember both of ya... though don't remember seeing much (if any) of Iggy on the forums.

I was more of a tag-along to Mintsy, so I never posted on the forums since I wasn't really in the guild.

I still play, not sure how much when school starts up again. It is still fun, you can do alot by yourself or with just a few people. There are some things that require an alliance, like some voidwatch fights. Its much easier to lvl also.

I got BLM to level 9 and WHM to level 7 last night. The adventuring guide thing is pretty neat; I used to solo on worms until they patched the game and forced them to burrow and heal when you would get out of LoS to get HP/MP back. Soloing is much easier, but I don't see very many people in Windurst/Saruta.

When I stopped playing, mostly everyone was in Jeuno because of the Abyssea stuff

I think you have to be level 30, maybe?

I played like a year, or so ago. I imagine things haven't changed too much. It's all about level Sync parties. The exp from the books and everything has boosted it up where people can solo well into the late teens if they want.

But most, by level 15 ish, join level sync alliances in Gusgen Mines, and you can ride that wave up until you can be useful in Garlaige Citadel. And you can stay in an alliance there until you're 75, for all intents and purposes.

There may have been other zones where some people leve synced, but I do believe I got to 75 in Garlaige. 75+ was done in the Abyssea zones in alliances.

You then have the trouble of having to skill up all your gimped skills. haha. Harder for a new account than it is for someone who's just leveling up their 15th job to 75+

Anyway, that was my experience. I was all excited about leveling up to high levels and then exploring all the non-capped CoZ zones and stuff. But they revamped it all, so even things like to Promyvions had level 90 monsters in it. Lame! I wanted to farm maps, because that's how nerdy I was/am. lol

You can go to Gusgen around lvl 10, stay there till 30ish(maybe higher for melee), then head to CN till 60ish. You'll need to leave to do LB quests, which are a pain. The best thing to do is stay in the zone when doing book xp, because the bonus adds up and then reaches a max, but if you zone out it resets. No one cares if you have a gimp sub, i was lvling there a little while ago and half the ppl there didn't have a sub job. Most ppl don't wear much gear xping anyways, do don't bother farming to get good gear. If you have any questions look me up ingame. I might be afk though.
