Yarr The Pirate! :: View topic - FFXI Mobile Edition

This isn't Grandmasters; they are two separate games BTW.

The link above started as an actual port of FFXI to phones; not a brand new game within the XI universe.

I don't get why people seem to think it couldn't work; KOTOR was an XBOX game and plays great on my phone, why wouldn't a PS2 game designed to work on dial up work on my phone?

Has anyone else heard of this? http://gamerescape.com/2015/11/09/interview-with-akihiko-matsui-on-the-vanadiel-project/ Not really sure what all it's going to entail, but I'm not writing off the possibility of doing an exp camp with you all in Valkurm dunes while deucing on the toilet. No more need to AFK for (Bio) breaks. haha

I have seen a few videos on it. Thank god it's not going to be a card game. It's more real time turn base system like in 13.

From a power standpoint, I don't think it'd be an issue at all, no. Not sure about controls and such. But it'll be interesting to see, for sure.

Hmm I see kind of confusing since they both are FFXI well if they did do a port that would be awesome.

I heard a long ass time ago they wanted to port XI to PSP, this was prior to XIV's release. I thought, mobile XI is exactly what I would want. I doubt the original game as I remember it will ever be again. Especially since you can't expect people to wait for xp parties and long grinds. Although if it is has a lot of the basics still intact (I'm looking at you dragoon job) then I'm 100% in day 1.
