I tried TF2 a year or so ago and didnt play for more than an hour or two. The game seemed fine but without any kind of offline practice I found it hard to try out the classes and get a feel for them while I was busy being gunned down by servers full of veterans.

I think maybe I heard they've added an offline/bot mode since then, and the recent F2P probably means there's gonna be a lot more noobs running around too. Maybe I'll give it another go soon.

I'm usually the Medic (or equivalent) in most first person shooters I play. I was a damn good Enemy Territory medic, making mad dashes across live battlefields to heal or revive other people, then turn around and also be a crack-shot headshotting everyone with a pistol was always fun. I always felt that not enough people played medics, yet they were always so pivotal to winning, especially if they had revive abilities.

Not sure if the TF2 medic is like that though, I think it's more similar to the old C&C Renegade Engineer (you have a "heal gun" that you have to keep trained on someone to slowly regen their HP?) -- which I was also awesome at. C&C Renegade was an awesome game actually, it's a damn shame Westwood didn't have the technical skill to back it up right before EA blew them up.

Never played C&C but that sounds about right fr tf2 medic. Every second you're healing your teammates you're building up uber charge. At 100% you get to apply a limited buff to a teammate , like 10s of invincibility or guaranteed critical hits, based on the medi gun you're using.

I used to be in a tf2 clan with Ilm and some others; even did some competitive play for abit. I stopped playing for a while, but recently got back into it. I've been hanging out on a payload only server almost every night recently. Hit me up on steam if anyone wants to play some. I've also got plenty of extra weapons if anyone needs.

I've been wanting to try this out for a while. I played as a medic mostly in BF2, but idk about the different classes in this game.

I quite like the classes in this. Any one of them can be pretty dominating when played well, but there's always another class that provides a foil.

I try and switch it up and play every class except spy. My personal favorites are medic (100+ hours) and demo (244 hours).

I usually get on after rock climbing ends (9-10pm est), but I can skip a night or two for some tf2 if that's too late, Yarr.

Just message me in steam. Im pretty much Medic/Solider/Heavy exclusive. Although I do like playing demo some times.

459 hours logged into TF2. Spy/Huntsman Sniper are my 2 goto classes, and I play other classes depending on the map/team.



I don't remember when it was implemented, but there is an offline training mode available.

Previous promo items have eventually become craftable, but that's not saying these will be, or that they will be any time soon.

Edit: I just loaded TF2, and I have a Genuine Pip Boy since I own Fallout NV. I'm guessing the rocket launcher will be Genuine as well. The "Genuine" tag is used to indicate items that were obtained via various promos, implying there will be another way to buy/craft these items in the future.

Quake 4 is the only quake I dont own and the only quake Ive never played. So its not like Im buying the rocket launcher.

lol at yarr. Well I just trying to learn how to play and top of that I was using my lappy on this game which it played ok. also I am learning how each player works than Quake 2 with Weapon Factory Mod on it when I used to be good. That was like so many years old now lol

Anyhow I like it and its fun after soo many death lol
