im fn addicted, my wife doesnt play video games at all, and she sings along . The drums are little tough to get used to but hella fun. Also if you get 2 guitars, the four person vocals, drums, bass and guitar combo is insane fun. I recommend highly, especially if you like to have big drunk bender parties. Its Perfect.

Anyways I'm going in on rock band with four friends. It'll only be like, 40 bucks each. I hear the rock band guitar is just obscenely shitty though.

I liked Guitar Hero 2, but I can't bring myself to spend $100 on the new one yet.

i like the rock band guitar, theres 10 buttons for notes total. 5 for regular and 5 at the bottom for solo's which you dont have to strum to use during a solo. they can also be used normally. the whammy bar is cool and also there's a effect switch which you can use to your preference to make any solo a kinda custom sound.

the energy feature is beast when playing mulitplayer, if people suck you can save'em from getting kicked off stage by using it.

im not very good, but i can play medium just fine, and i have trouble with hard, but everytime i play it all i can think of is "damn thats an ugly singer" "what? you cant choose what your band looks like?" "this isnt rage against the machine!" "so thats the guy who sings throughout the entire game?" "turn the tv down, everytime i try and find a good song i hear this horrid plucking noise" "is this guitar broken or is the wii-remote just out of batteries?" "why am i sober already?" "whyyyyyyyyyy do you need to calibrate the wammy bar?" "what do i get when i beat dragonforce?"

im sure its different on other consoles but ive only played it on wii, so if its any better on a different system, let me know.

i havent played rockband cause no one i know is willing to put down the money, but it seems like something that would be a lot of fun. it just seems like its alot more solid than GH is, looks like they spent the time to make it enjoyable.

I plan on getting it when I get 25% discount on everything. Have you tried doing online multiplayer yet? I know 3 other people that want to play, but I was wondering if theres co-op or vs online and how it is.

don't worry lol, i'm sure the game can be way easier than that. he's playing one of the more difficult songs and it's on expert mode

drums r hard to learn at first, unless you have played drums. most realistic sim i have played as far as the drums go.
