. Anyone playing Dissidia? I havent tried the xkai or the other online battle program yet but the game is alot of fun. Hope everyone is doing well and ill see you in XIV. (or maybe a Dissidia lobby )

I have no idea how the online or ad hoc stuff works. I think this game has online capability but not for direct battling, I don't know. I just got the PS3 and I'm trying to learn all the ways the console and the psp interact. I got dissidia when the jp version came out and have almost 500 hours on that, I have around 90 hours on the US version already. Firion and Tidus are my champs. |

Hey Dead good to see you. There are 2 adhoc prgrams but you have to open a Japanese Playonline acct to dl them. II might try it soon. When i battle my friend in the wlan battles there are alot of rewards and the artifact stuff looks interesting. I have been using Zidane as my main lately, was Cloud then Bartz when i started. |

Zidane is cool. They took away a few of his brave>HP linking attacks in the US version but they gave him Free Energy as a straight attack which is nice, it's so damn fast. They did the same thing to Tidus which sucks but he's still a monster. I have something like 12 guys at 100 in the JP version but don't know who to do next in the US version. Probably Squall. The characters are all unique enough to give a try. |

"Dissidia 012" Jump Festa Trailer: New characters revealed so far: - Lightning - Kain - Tifa - Laguna - Vaan - Yuna (Her feet and distinct FFX dress can be seen very briefly at 4:38 of this trailer) Other stuff: - Chess board replaced with a PS1-style 3D world map. - Can call extra characters as assists during fights. - Lots of new costume alts, including an Edea one for Ultimecia and a Basch one for Gabranth. Rumors: - There'll be some way to transfer experience/items/progress from the original Dissidia. - The entire of the first dissidia story mode is included in the game and unlocks after beating the new prequel story. - Tetsuya Nomura mentioned that if he ever made a sequel to Dissidia, that he wanted both Kain and Gilgamesh to be in it. We have Kain, it's likely Gilgamesh ends up being a secret unlockable. |

Damn. Nice to see Shantotto and Gabranth in the fully rendered cinematic. Sucks the only time we get to see Kain fighting he's getting beat up but I think he's guaranteed to be awesome, Dissidia was made for him. Lightning looks fun and at the end of the trailer she pops a bunch of roses, maybe she summons Odin for EX. 3:46 looks like an alternate unarmored costume for Golbez. Tifa's the new Jecht. Ah this will be good, probably buy the Jp version when it comes out. Really hope poor Kain gets to be a good guy. Kain's character portrait looks left, he's on Cosmos. Lightning doesn't summon Odin, but she does use his swords. Here's the last trailer, it showed different stuff. (Specifically it has a lot more Kain) And a fight between Vaan/Tifa. EDIT: And Laguna/Lightning: |

Two things I don't get so far: 1) I've read they changed the "chase sequences" because it broke the flow of battle, and honestly it did - I didn't use them because a good opponent won't be hit. But in those videos they seem to work exactly the same as they did before; you jump up and keep pressing X in time with the other person's voice until one of you screwed up. 2) Lightning can paradigm shift but I can't see any benefit to that, especially to Medic/Healer (which you see in the video). I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have given her cure spells, that would have been too overpowered. But yeah I really liked Dissidia and looking forward to having more. I've heard that although no date has been announced yet, they've been doing the english version at the same time. We learned about Vaan being in the game a month in advance because the guy's english voice actor revealed he had to go to square enix to record stuff. Hopefully we'll get a near simultaneous release (or at least a couple weeks apart). |

From what I've seen the Euro release is only a few weeks after the JP release, if that's true then surely an American release should be simultaneous with JP or somewhere between the two. |

Somehow I'd missed the news about the EU release date being confirmed (a couple days ago), cool. That makes: JP: March 3, 2011 NA: Between? If i had to guess, it'll be March 22nd. EU: March 25, 2011 March 25th is a Friday so that's actually more likely the UK release date. In mainland europe they get their games on the Wednesday I think, and the US gets them on Tuesday. So I'm going to guess everyone that's not japan gets it on their various days during that week. |

I'm not really digging the first one a whole lot, but I'm also doing the stories in the supposed correct order, so maybe I'll enjoy it more when I do my favorite characters. I'm looking forward to the second one though, and hopefully the character progress transfers to the new one, although mine aren't too far so it wouldn't be too bad if it didn't. If anyone didn't play the first one, they are adding the story of the first one in the second game. You can play it after you finish the story of the 2nd. |

I just started playing Dissidia due to the 50% off sale on PSN. I also only recenly got a Vita and never owned a PSP. I must say I didnt expect this good of a game. I figured it would be a fun game I might play for a few hours, but its been about a week and I've already dropped 40 hours into it. Im exploiting the shit out of the "Special" day feature by setting my clock manually lol, but its helping the game move fast enough that I dont get bored. Once I get Cloud and Tidus to 100 Im going to start on the second game. |

Dissidia, or Dissidia 012 (Duodecim)? Something not explained to people: Dissidia 012 includes all of the original Dissidia, including the entirety of it's story campaign (and vastly improved by adding an overworld map), as part of the package, on top of the new second story campaign, more characters, 5-man party mode, in-battle assists, re-balanced battle system, etc. It's like the "Super" SF/MvC/etc package and makes the original obsolete. Not a massive deal if you played through the original though, there was a way to transfer all of your EXP/levels for all characters to Duodecim if I recall, but not items/gear/story progress. You might need to look up how to do it on a Vita though. So don't go grinding it out for all characters, switch to Duodecim sooner rather than later. |

I just got dissidia since it was only 8.99 on psn plus sale. but didnt know that dissidia 012 was better  is that the same as dissidia 012 prologue? i dont see just dissidia 012 as part of the sale.

Prologue is just the demo for 012 IIRC. They're both good games but 012 has way more content and is more fun to play overall. |
