I tried out beta, liked it and pre ordered it. Not sure how long I'll stick with it, but it seems fun so far.

I havent played it. My impression was that it was too much of a wow clone. We talked about it in game a little and that seemed to be how most everyone felt.
Id rather play wow than a wow clone.

And usually i'm quick to dismiss all the people who claim this game or that game or w/e game is a WoW clone because ppl tend to say that about most new MMOs but, this game Rift seriously is a WoW clone haha

It is really similar to WoW, in many ways. I will not deny that at all...
However-
I feel like WoW screwed itself out of having a server community with the random dungeon finder...and it also effed up world pvp a lot. It turned into a game where everyone stands in the city and waits for the next queue. I'm tired of grinding the same instances over and over every week for a new piece of epic gear.

I miss Vanilla WoW and Rift has that sort of feel. I really like the class specialization options and I like the graphics. Much less cartoonie than WoW. I think the Rift invasions are neat and add excitement to leveling. There's always something going on somewhere on the map. Like I said, I'm enjoying it right now, probably because it's new, but I don't know how long I'll stick with it. I'll let you guys know as I get into it more. I'm only level 15 right now. :P

I checked out the site, it looks pretty cool. Can you change classes, or just chose one? How is the game play, do you need groups to do anything? I would try it out...but not sure if my computer is good enough, or if I want to spend that much money to just try something.

You get to choose one calling, but with in that calling you have 3 souls to fill from 8 different specializations. It allows a lot of variations within the same calling. You need groups to do dungeons, some quests, and fight off invasions. I can barely run it on my laptop, but it runs beautifully on my PC. I'm still doing the level grind, as I am playing quite casually right now, but I do still find it fun.
