So I was looking through my PSX box of stuff last night, because I figured I'd use the next few weeks to hammer out some of the games I never got around to beating. So I pull out the Final Fantasy Origins disc and fire up FFII.

Well, apparently I beat this game. I had always considered it to be the only game in the main series that I never completed. But low and behold, I continued the game, checked the beastiary, noticed I had collected 100% of the items in the game. This game was so unmemerable that I completely forgot I have beaten it. haha

Anyway, I guess I get to happily cross that off my list of games to attempt to beat while the servers are down.

The other games I have contemplated playing during the server downtime are:

Chrono Cross - Never Beat; Tried a few times & got a decent ways in one time
Star Ocean (Forget which) - Never Beat; Tried a few times & and got a decent ways in one time
Final Fantasy VIII - Beat Once - Didn't like
Final Fantasy IX - Beat Once
Final Fantasy X - Beat Once
Final Fantasy Tactics - Continue to try and star all jobs for all storyline members (3-4 away)
Harvest Moon: Magical Melody - Continue to try to raise hearts of town members

I am the only person in the entire world of final fantasy fanboys that dislikes Tactics. Blasphemy! I know!

I've played through FF2 only once. It's pretty unmemorable for me also...other than you level up weapons based on how many times you hit the mob...or something. It wasn't a very exciting game.

I vote for replaying Chrono Chross or FFIX! There has been talk of Chrono Chross lately because of the amazing intro video. Several people mentioned not enjoying the game. It's a really fun game after you get a few hours into it. I used to love it. I actually wanted to get Kid tattooed on my back when it came out haha. I'm glad I didn't do that...I would replay it if my copy didn't get stolen :( I'm waiting for it to released on PSN store hopefully someday.

Yah, Chrono Cross seems like a pretty solid choice. I've noticed that my like of a game depends a lot on the magic system, and I just wasn't a huge fan of the Dr. Mario pill system used in that game. I may give it another shot, though.

While Chrono Cross is not available for download on the psn store, it is actually available on disc directly from square enix's website.

How could you guys not remember 2? Ricard! 4th party member who always met some sort of deadly fate!

I actually don't remember too much of the story either, but I did like it. Everyone I talk to about FF games hated 2, but I thought the levelling system was really nice.
