Do it Yarr. Mass Effect 1 is great. I have had the collector's edition of 2 since it came out but haven't had time to play it yet, but I have heard nothing but good things about it.

Kitty won't buy terraria. lol. I tried.

He hates taking advice from me, and he hates buying into things that are popular, 'cause he likes to pretend he's above doing things that are popular. haha :D

In that situation (and for that price) I just buy it for them, then they feel bad that you wasted your money and feel compelled to at least try it. :P

Now it's the very last day, I made a list of all the games on their achievement list I already own and I'm blitzing the summer camp achievements. Most of them can be earned in a couple of minutes if you know how. A quick google search will usually bring up a video of someone doing it in like 30 seconds or something.

I'm up to 14 tickets so far. And I reckon I can get about 20 before I go to bed, lol.

EDIT: 3 tickets = some free DLC for a game you might have. Worth getting a few considering most of them are nice and easy. Also each ticket gives you a better chance of winning the grand prize (the top 10 games on your wishlist)

I ended up getting Just Cause 2. That was the only one. Easily got my 5 bucks worth just yanking people out of vehicles with my grappling hook. haha.

Each day Steam was also posting a list of random (usually summer related) achievements from random games. If you earned (or already had) any of those achievements, you got a golden ticket (charlie and the chocolate factory style).

Every 3 tickets you got allowed you to choose a piece of DLC (out of a pre-determined selection) for a game completely free. Nothing too major but there were a few nifty things, there was some stuff like TF2 glasses, Portal 2 snorkels, map packs for defense grid, some magicka DLC, the first AI War expansion, and there was even a free game on there (Alien Breed 2).

Considering many of the achievements were rediculously easy to get (some only took like a few seconds in a game, others you got just for posting a screenshot on steam or commenting on somebody elses profile) and you also earned them retroactively if it was something you'd already done before in the past, it was possible to get your first 3 or so tickets without even doing anything.

On the last day I ran around doing the "quick and easy" achievements for the games I already owned. Most of them got in a couple of minutes or so. Ended up with 18 tickets, got 6 pieces of free DLC.

Additionally, each ticket you earned (regardless of whether you spent it or not) gave you an extra entry (kinda like having an extra raffle ticket) for their grand prize draw. The grand prize was 100 people to win the top 10 games from their Steam wishlist. I dunno if they've announced winners for this yet. Chances of winning are ludicrously low, sure, but hey at least you got free DLC out of it.

I guess I really should have posted about this in this thread, but it was already being a huge handful each day just trying to post all the daily deal prices, without having to worry about posting lists and solutions to achievements each day.

I bought the ultimate GOTY package of Oblivion yesterday for $18 on Steam. It comes with 9 DLCs. It seems like a cool game so far. I can't believe I never played it. Also i'm playing with keyboard and mouse! I'm going to teach myself to play PC games without controller. Moving up in the world.

I am gearing up for Skyrim which I want to play on PC. Console games look like shit after playing stuff on the PC lately.

Good for you Kluya, mouse and keyboard is the way to go :P I'd have to get used to that for some games since I've been getting them mostly for 360 or PS3 to share with people.
