The rules:

Each day steam will sell a whole bunch of random games for anywhere between -50% and -75% (and sometimes even as high as -90%) of it's usual price. These prices will last for exactly 24 hours each time they change.

Tons of other stuff in the store will be -10% -25% or so off for the duration of the whole sale. However, the daily deals might sometimes reduce those -25% games to -75% for a single day!

Keep an eye on the daily deals each day, and if there's a game you're interested in, jump on it, it won't be getting any cheaper anytime soon. However, don't buy games that are not daily deals until the last day of the sale. You don't want to buy something for $15 only for it to suddenly be $5 the next day.

For the next 10 days, make sure you're checking Steam every day.

There's also a prize draw and a bunch of DLC you can win by earning achievements in various random games each day. You'll have to go check Steam's homepage for more info.

Uh oh. I'll have to keep an eye out to see if there's anything good showing up on there soon.

Wow....it might be impossible not to buy borderlands and oblivion GOTY editions. I just don't know how to play with mouse and keyboard and those games don't have controller support. Argggghhh. Should I get with the times and learn myself to play PC controls?

reccetear is really good definately worth $5 if you haven't tried it.

Not a whole lot of replay value but its cute/amusing quick game.

ok nothing I really want in there.

but the ID super pack at 85% off is a super tempting purchas. The problem is that I already own the quakes. So Im not sure if I just want to wait for a doom pack, since thats all i really feel like playing.

Borderlands is really tempting to buy, but I already have it for the Brobox. Not sure if I wanna start over.

Thanks for the heads up Ket. I purchased Borderlands for both me and Spyder.

If anybody cares - It says it doesn't support controller, but it actually does. The buttons are mapped the same as the PS3 (and I assume 360). My logitech worked without having to configure anything.

I rented borderlands on PS3 last year and loved it. I only did the first playthrough. I'll miss my weapons but I have no problem starting over. I'm excited to check out the expansion. $7.50 for GOTY is a STEAL.

I liked Dungeon Keeper as a kid. Too bad Dungeons doesn't really have super stellar reviews.

Seems the prices changed from when I first wrote them down, I guess the prices weren't in full effect when they first appeared and didnt actually get reduced prices until 10 minutes or so later.

Total War: Shogun 2 (-40% $29.99)
Call of Duty: Black Ops (-33% $40.19 still lol Activision)
Grand Theft Auto Classics (-75% $7.49)
Dungeons (-66% $13.59)
Devil May Cry 4 (-50% $9.99)
Just Cause 2 (-75% $4.99)
Railworks 2: Train Simulator (-75% $8.74)
Braid (-75% $2.49)
Spacechem (-66% $5.09)
Hamilton's Great Adventure (-50% $4.99)
Heroes of Might and Magic 5 (-75% $4.99)

and

Knights of the Old Republic (-75% $2.49)

Wasn't there before and it is now. I guess I'm going to wait an hour or two before posting these in future. Just Cause 2 is suddenly quite an attractive offer. Shame I already got it for free with my graphics card.

KOTOR worth $2.50? Never had an Xbox but heard they were good games.

Still nothing I want that I Dont have. I have AvP and Magica. I like RE, but I want to keep all the purchases under 10 bucks each. Bioshock though looks interesting. Ive never played em. Im just not a fan of Console to PC fps ports.

Bioshock 2 is a very fun game, and it's creepy/best to play at night in the dark. The first Bioshock is good, but I prefer being able to use plasmids and shoot simultaneously (which you can in the second).

Pick of the bunch is probably Torchlight. It's a great Diablo clone, but its a little short and has no Multiplayer. Torchlight II is coming out in a few months to rectify this problem, it might be worth holding out for that.

I picked up torchlight. Friend at work said it was good awhile back. For 3 bucks I think I can afford to find out.

This has me interested. The Doom Franchise sale is interesting. I might pick up the original Dooms.

little tip for anyone in the states. supposedly fallout: new vegas is on sale at best buy for 5 dollars cheaper than steams. only 10 bucks. I've heard you can even just enter the code into steam to access it there.
