That time of the year again. The big companies are all having their press conferences today regarding all the new game stuff coming out that they felt the need to keep secret until now.
I usually watch all the E3 conferences live-streamed, it's fun. I think each company is running their own on their own sites, but you can usually watch them live on Gamespot, IGN, Eurogamer, etc etc.
The conferences are:
Microsoft: 9:30AM (PDT) 12:30PM (EDT) 5:30PM (BST)
EA: 1:00PM (PDT) 4:00PM (EDT) 9:00PM (BST)
Ubisoft: 3:00PM (PDT) 6:00PM (EDT) 11:00PM (BST)
Sony: 6:00PM (PDT) 9:00PM (EDT) 2:00AM (BST)
Nintendo (Next day): 9:00AM (PDT) 12:00PM (EDT) 5:00PM (BST)
Microsoft is likely to be Halo 4, Forza, and then a boatload of soul-cringing Kinect nonsense again.
EA is likely to be a lot of Madden/NFL/Sport etc nonsense as usual, a lot of talk about Origin, plus maybe Simcity and maybe some reveal about more Mass Effect, since they love milking that.
Ubisoft is likely to be all about Assassins Creed III. Not sure what else they'll bother with, probably a few other games they have in the pipeline. Maybe show off that Rayman Origins sequel.
Sony is likely to be a big Vita push. There's also a big rumor going around regarding Sony buying up either Gaikai or OnLive to do backwards compatibility via streaming and some rumor about somehting going down with Playstation Plus.
Nintendo have already said their conference is all about Wii U games, the 3DS won't be shown at all. Nintendo already held a pre-E3 video that shows off the new controller and shows off their new "
totally not just an exact replica of a 360 controller, honest" pro controller.
Any of you here hoping for FFXIV news might be disappointed. SE have said they're not releasing the 2.0 trailer like originally planned. However it is known that Yoshi P is at E3 for one reason or another. Maybe they'll have some interviews with some information or maybe they'll have the new engine running on a PC in the corner of SE's booth (open tomorrow).
