Pretty cool intro video to the elder scrolls mmo:

I was pretty impressed with the look of the dungeons. I'll definitely be checking this game out when it launches.

Nice! I read a several page article about this a few months ago. This is the first footage i've seen. This game will be MASSIVE lol. I can't even begin to imagine how big the world will be.

I have a feeling this game will be very successful. I will definately play it.

So a couple of us have been playing the betas when invited. I've enjoyed it enough that I've decided to buy the CE. Anyone been playing in the betas and/or plan on playing at release?

I will prolly buy it. We should make sure we have a CKD server.

There isn't going to be separate servers like ffxiv/wow. It's one mega-server.

So far only a portion of the map is actually available, but I'm pretty sure they plan on adding everything eventually. But even what sections there are feel pretty damn big.

Also, there's a ton of customization when it comes to creating your char. Each class has 3 skill lines, each weapon has skill lines, each armor type has skill lines, each guild has skill lines, each race has unique bonuses. You can basically pick any race and any class and make it whatever the fuck you want. During the last beta, I was running around as a sorcerer wielding a 2h great sword and wearing heavy armor without any issue. It's honestly kind of overwhelming. This website gives a list of the basic skills:

Each one of those skills can be "morphed" with enough xp, adding extra effects or bonuses.

Nice I'll try and check out the beta this weekend. I missed the last one because I was too late to the party.

I can't imagine being able to explore all of Tamriel......can't even wrap my mind around it.

Damnit, now I might have to re-download the beta so I can play with you guys :P It's a good game but gets boring quick when you have nobody to bug the fuck out of with random conversation; it's like Skyrim all over again.

Created an account and registered my beta key. Let's all play together this weekend.

That is exactly what Skyrim was missing. Nobody to chat with, those big games get boring.

Post subject:  Re: Elder Scrolls Online

I was very late to the game with Skyrim (Kayne gave me shit when he eventually saw my steam "playing" messages), and it was my first Elder Scrolls game. I didn't beat it, but I did have fun making a mage on it.

I didn't personally think the world was all that big, though. I've seen the overall map of how Skyrim matches up with the rest of that continent... I just hope that they don't use skyrim's scale as the basis for it.

But yah. I'll be testing this out this weekend.

IMO Cyrodiil (from Oblivion) was f-ing huge. I never played through Morrowind but I heard that world felt really big also. All of them paired together will be pretty dang big. Especially considering all of the underground caverns, tunnels, etc. I vaguely remember Cyrodiil having some sort of underground network that had multiple entrances to the overworld with a lot of quality exploring as well.

I have yet to find a game with exploring that matches Bethesda's games. Atleast for my tastes.
