Xbox one or PS4 and why. Keep in mind, I have 11, 9 and 4 year old children. We currently rep the xbox 360, but it's all slow and stupid now and the disc reader doesn't work. Time to upgrade!

ps4 all the way, my boy is 4, and uses it more than i do. also, there's Playstation Plus. $50 dollars a year gets you a shitload of free games to download play. my son streams when he plays Lego Marvel Universe on Twitch, its pretty damn cool. |

ps4 is cheaper ps4 subscription is optional but if you spring for it its also cheaper and gives you a plethora of free games constantly neither are backwards compatible so your old library doesnt mean much ps4 had the vita handheld that works really well with it, move if you like motion controls, and a virtual reality goggle coming soon ps4 doesnt constantly record you ps4 has far outsold xbox and nintendo which means a wider librabry will likely follow, good for less popular markets like for children ps4 has optional touchpad controls which kids like ps4 is true hd, xbox is not, if you care about that sony is releasing a neat streaming service so that you can play older titles (ff fan? theyre all sony games anyway) ff15 i think is sony exclusive i kinda swore off consoles after i never played either of them and i owned all 3 from last gen, but i have to say ps4 has some reeeeally good selling points that only seem to be gettign better. i would also suggest looking into a 3ds if you dont already own one i absolutely adore mine. |

few things i forgot, ps4 you can play ff14 on anf also, if it matter to you, xbox originally had some really god aweful anticonsumerism policies in place just prior to launch. they reiduculed fans and had overall aweful or surrounding it. when sony won e3 by saying theyd have none of it ms shook in their boots and changed policies last minute. the whole thing kinda made me distrust them and made me feel like theyre not out for whats good for their customers. biased feelings aside though, the ps4 is still the machine with better hardware and cheaper and seems to have overall more benefits. i guesd the only pro youd have going xbox over sony is you could roll over your live account, but keep in mind none of your old games will work with it. |

Xbox has always been a bro box. I feel safe saying that now that Kitty has succesfully converted. (In his defense, he got a 360 only for 2 game franchises that aren't particularly "bro-y"). But yah. Definitely seems like PS4 is the way to go now. They're still moderately hard to get ahold of, as opposed to having tons of Xbox one just laying around. |

My personal take is that they aren't all that different when it comes to actual gaming. They'll have exclusive titles, sure, but overall the experience is going to be very similar. It boils down to two things imo: If you want a gaming system with gaming at the forefront, with decent app integration, go with the PS4. If you want a gaming system with media integration on the forefront, with fantastic app integration, go with the Xbox One. Personally, I use my Xbox One way more than my PS4 because I love the media content aspects. When it comes to gaming though, if the game is on both systems, in most cases I'd probably lean towards buying it for the PS4. Now onto this.... I got the 360 because it had Ace combat 6 and Forza games. after microsoft ruined Forza and Ace Combat had a bunch of BS dogfight mechanics I'm switching to ps4. I also have a WiiU >.> |

WiiU basically has Super Mario 3D world which was excellent. Pikmin 3 which was good, if you like pikmin And New Super Mario bros U in case you didn't get enough mario. If none of those games are "must haves" for you you can probably skip a wiiU. there's some other decent others but those are basically the only games even worth considering buying the console for. |

They also have Lego City Undercover. (GTA with legos) that remade Zelda game, also Wonderful 101. soon to be out Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart and Smash Bros. |

Lego City Undercover is hilarious. I just wasn't sure if that was a WiiU exclusive, or not. I'm hoping that Lego Marvel Heroes, or whatever, ends up being as fun. |

The next Zelda will make me buy one fo sho. Re-playing the wind waker in HD would be nice too. Super Mario 3D world looks fun. I loved the 3DS one. |

Yah, it's pretty fun to watch. It's an Isometic view, sort of like Super Mario RPG. But it has some pretty awesome gaming elements to it. If anything, watching Mario run around on all fours in a cat suit, scratching people, is hilarious :D |
