With the redesign next month, Sony is dropping its support of the HDD. And since the only game really effected is FFXI for PS2, I think alot of people will be sad. Not that I care, I play FFXI on PC and think the redesign is going to be great. I'm tired of hearing weird sounds from my PS2 as I play some shitty game for it. lol It's also about the size of an XBox controller now. And the width of two DVD cases.

Yeha I saw some pictures of the new design a while back. I personally hate having this HDD sticking out of the back of ps2 lol. I really wish I could get back on PC, but that requires me to buy a new videocard. I'll just deal with the shitty graphics on ps2, despite my desire to post some screenshots every now and then. (Yarr usually posts something similar to what I want to post anyway, so whatever.)

I wonder if they're going to lower the price again with the new design?

150 bucks. Built in network adapter, LAN capabilites, no more tray (yay!) and really fucking tiny.

It can't handle the ps2 hdd and it has built in ethernet (high speed internet ) and 56k modem also certain other features like having only one usb port instead of having 2

They basically got rid of the biggest problem the tray. Instead you pop the disc in like with GC. And it no longer make sounds when a disc is being read and such.

It's 150 bucks. You can trade in whatever, but. If you play FFXI on PS2, you cannot play it on the new version.
