I played Halo 2 for the past 2 hours and I like it so far. It has largely the same gameplay as the first Halo plus dual-gun wielding, vehicle jacking and some new weapons/vehicles. The graphics are great but they can glitch in detail with the normal mapping when going from far away to close up. Overall I am impressed with the production values and the story is good enough to keep me playing the campaign. I have yet to use the energy sword or play multiplayer (which I am sure is great).

But to compare it with really good PC FPS is not fair as PC FPS are almost always better (due to better graphics, higher resolution, mouse aiming, mods to lengthen game life, etc.). I also have a preordered copy of Half-life 2 which I bet it will be better than the disappointing Doom 3. The original Half-life is right up there as one of my favorite games of all time. So I am greatly anticipating the sequel and can't wait to see the mods people come up with.
