GameStop sent an email earlier today to inform its customers that GameStop and EB Games stores will begin accepting limited pre-orders for the Nintendo Wii console on Friday, October 13, on a first come, first served basis.
Because the Nintendo Wii is cheaper than other next-generation consoles, both retailers are demanding a $50 reservation deposit instead of the $100 required to pre-order a PlayStation 3 or an Xbox 360 back in 2005.
The world's largest video game retailer also informed that their online pre-order program will be announced at a later date, after software and accessory availability details are confirmed.
