when i started FFXI I was an elvaan thief for 2 weeks named Avulus. thats when i met movien and nekote. when i noticed how much more often i missed compared to nekote at around lvl 17 i said "Screw this, elvaans suck, i'm starting over." when i started over toady was already lvl 18 >< but it was better than being an elvaan thief thats for sure

speaking of blizzard, the night before i was supposed to fly to barbados (sep 16th) and subsequently have no gaming access for 6 weeks, i woke up in the middle of the night and said... "Some special item is waiting for me on Diablo II Classic (TS has my D2X)." I logged on at 3 a.m. and immediately got the Gull dagger. My reaction irl was, "Shit damn!" never said that before. not sure if anyone knows about diablo 2 classic but Gull is one of the best items on teh gamezorz.

That's reason enough to give the game a shot. I realize camping something for three hours only to lose it to a provoke botter might mean more money for SE, but it just makes the game all the more stressful for legit players who actually need the items dropped from the HNM.

I've never settled with the fact that something as big as King Behemoth can just pop out of thin air, either. I know it's just a game, but I find it a bit strange that SE goes and makes this huge story and then settles on making HNMs just pop out of nowhere instead of instancing them and putting some sort of time restriction on being able to enter (e.g. BCNM99s with no 99 Kindred Seal requirement and make it accessible to individuals only every week or so. You'd also be only able to choose one of them per week so that you couldn't hit up KB, Nidhogg, and Aspi all in the same day.).

Yea i like the idea of instance dungeons also getting xp in them will be far easier when you dont have to wait for mobs to pop due to 8 parties being there, only bad side is if your in trouble your on you own heh (means poor noobies wont ever get invited to my parties in this game, whereas ffxi i dotn mind so much as long as they are helping a bit)

yea the closed beta is stopping in prep for open beta, and yes lets all get on the same server im swaying towards Dwarf Warrior, i hope none of you want to be on the horde side :?

Yeah, i wouldnt have minded being tauren also.... but it would suck to have to deal with the tauren females :P

And I guess I care more about the ppl I play with anyway.

It offers a fair mix of Asheron's call and Everquest with the Warcraft charm and Blizzard's skill of making games.

So yeah, kudos for it.

I figure everyone should *try* it while it's free...
