Due to our work schedules, Peejo and I would prefer a E/C PvE server. We might consider a PvP server if that's what everyone seems intent on going too.

Well, I'd love to hang out with you guys too.... I think I'm going to go East coast server, only b/c they seem like they might be the more populated ones....

I'll go out on a limb here and say....

Server Lothar?

^O^

I'll be hoarding names on lots of different servers, just incase.

Well, I know Peej has a softspot for the tarutaru, so an East Coast server is fine with us. Does anyone who want to hang wih the old school mom & dad types object to Lothar?

I actually played on West coast servers too, and noticed no ping difference, so if you guys want to go on a central server im fine with that too. :)

But I think the east coast ones will be more populated. Oh and I'll be also paired up with a friend, so maybe 4 of us can do some good.

(We'll be NE Hunter, druid)

We're going to go Mage/Priest. Is there any chance you and your friend know the way to stormwind? I'll be Gnome/Mage, she'll be Human?priest. All we basically need to do is grab a warrior, or keep that damn pet alive.

Yeah, I've been to stormwind, altho its doable at lvl 1, its easiest to do at lvl 20~ or so. (you can fight ur way there then)

Basically its just going from NE place to Ironforge, and then taking the subway to Stormwind.

I think we will both be doing NE quests at hte beginning anyway, so I guess we can just stick in the same chat channel....

CKD? :)

Okay I'm in Server Lothar and my name is Tooyoo (only 2 o's) :(

and I'll hang around in the chat channel "CKD"

Ya CKD channel works. You can get there after roughly level 10 I think via Menelith. I'm not aware of the way via Ironforge, but I do know the quick run via Menelith harbor isn't bad. Fortunately given our races I can just take the tram to my baby's location. :)

And you aren't as big as me!

I got there as a lvl 5 NE, but it was rough.

Just stick to the road after you get to the east continent (don't remember names =\) and if/when you die from the 200yd aggro crocs just res 30yd in the right direction... (+1 for cpt obvious ^^; )

But, I also heard that you can swim all the way to Stormwind if you stay really close to the shore, and then die (go too far out to sea and you will fatigue and die) outside the city... you should ghost into the nearest graveyard and be able to use the spirit healer there lol. I got all the way there in the ocean but I was doing it as a ghost, when i used the spirit healer, it put me waaay back in the graveyard where I died right outside the port.. that sucked. Not even sure if it would work anyway...

T, what are your playtimes and that of your friends?

Author:  Tooyooo [ Tue Nov 23, 2004 2:08 am ]
Post subject:

I think we would probably play during the late afternoon, evenings, altho sometimes my friend (Keli) works nights so she might not be on at nights.

Oh and all of weekends and any free day we get. :)

I haven't gotten my work schedule but I can play solid till the 30th. After that of course it depends on my schedule. Peej has a fairly 7-4 schedule so at the very least she can bot me till I get home. :)

Any chance if we want to make this 4-some actually work that we can get a "tank" type? I dunno if you two want to commit to a "group" levelling mentality, or would rather go free for all.

Peej and I are open for the group thing as our work schedule will require us to play alt toons when the other is at work, but I'm not sure if that works for you guys as well.

My friend's bro MIGHT play, but i dont think we can count on him as a promised tank (he wants to play WAR), so maybe the druid can tank as bear? heh, or my pet...

Author:  Kailyn [ Tue Nov 23, 2004 2:47 am ]
Post subject:

I doubt a tank matters as much as consistency. Is your friend ok with meshing the schedules.

I want to keep toon levels close and respect everyone's schedule. You know how I am. :)

If your bro wants to be softcore, we can work with keeping him up to date. I will probably be raising an alternate toon in my time that I have while Peej is off at work during the off period.

Author:  Tooyooo [ Tue Nov 23, 2004 2:49 am ]
Post subject:

at this point i dont know if he will be playing anytime soon, so i wouldnt count him in just yet...

But as the rest of us... we are also lenient with the play scheduling.... I def. wont be lvling up as fast as i did in FFXI. (At least not time playing wise).

Sounds like we can figure something out. I gotta head to bed now, as my wife will suspect I'm having some sorta online relationship but I figure it's safe for everyone to level up to 20-25 so knock yourself out. After that point we can try to figure out schedules from there and I can balance our toon's levels from this end.

Night taru~

yeah, according to imanimd, grouping is pretty much needed at lvl 25+, and i know the first instance dungeons happen at around lvl 20.

Oh but we do have a relationship Kail.... we do....

You guys are freaks stayed up till 3 a.m. to have an online relationship without me. :(

Yeah, I think what you guys said it's fine. I was thinking CST servers due to later on raiding schedule if we really get that high/hardcore. But I guess EST is fine too as we really don't know how it'll be like in few months anyways.

See you in channel tonight 2u!

grouping for what? if it's for killing mobs for exp I was still able to solo stuff three levels higher than me as a rogue without any other downtime between kills than it takes to skin and loot what I killed =\ Maybe it changes later on, though. :P

BTW I'll be on Lothar. I was originally thinking of trying PvP again, but I don't want to chance getting ganked in two weeks by lvl 60 people who have nothing else in their life to do than plow through the grind as fast as possible so that they can grief lower level players.

For now, I'd rather play PvE until I get to level 60 and know the ropes. Then I might make a character on a PvP server.

>< I really didn't mean to do this to screw you imanimd... i was just concerned on whether the central servers would be as populated as the eastern servers..., but i'm sure many of us will have diff char on diff server.... i promise yours will be 2nd. :)
