Blizzard began the closed-beta phase of testing on World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade earlier this month. The January 2007 release window will allow extra time for current beta testers to participate in the final stages of development and continue providing valuable feedback..

Too many console games coming out in the near future. By the time I buy and get around to playing them all, I won't give a shit about WoW. Really I could care less what they do with this expansion at this point.

Most hoped for this because of the bugs being brought up in the Beta. Rather have a good expansion delayed 1month then needing a billion patches.

Yeah given Blizzard's history, I saw this coming and wouldn't be surprised if they delayed it again. At least the expansion will be somewhat complete upon release.
