Yeah I know. The site has been running slow since late Jan. I opened a ticket and they closed it.

I had to open another ticket and they are apparently investigating the issue. I've been very busy with work recently (My job has changed a lot since september) and have not had any spare time to sit down and look at the issue myself.

Tomorrow I work all day by myself and it should (knock on wood) be a perfect time to sit down and try to hammer out the issue. So far I have spent probably about 10-15 hours trouble shooting the SQL DB. These forums are huge dont forget and I dont delete anything. This weekend Im going to try and clean the archives.

Once everything is working 100% normal I will send out an email and post horrible and incriminating pictures of Mikey.

Just an FYI, the main http://www.yarrthepirate.com page isnt just a dumb html that auto forwards to the forums anymore. Ive updated it with a dumb html template lol.

Not sure if anyone noticed that while the site was down yesterday. Feel free to check out the main page for updates on the speed issue. Im also going to try and upgrade this site to phpBB 3. So if the site crashes, check it out for an explination.

I was told by a CSR that apparently everyone who is under my host is having this problem. Although it sounds like he might have been exaggerating. I assume that there is more than one SQL server and I believe the server I am on is having a problem (and all the people on that server not everyone on every server).

I also found out that my site has been charging me for a subscription that costs me 3 bucks more a month and its a package that gives me less features.

So Im pretty annoyed with my host right now. I've been a customer with them around 3 or more years.
