I sort of wish I had only got the Drum Kit for 79.99. I almost never use my Mic (only when I bring the game to a group of people) and I never use the rock band strat, its garbage. I just use my GH controllers.

I recently ordered a bunch of parts for a computer from newegg, and I was kinda suprised at how much was shaved off in random combo deals and instant rebates. Was pretty cool.

Me too. I ordered yesterday and I saved like 150-170 dollars in instant and mail-in rebates on a $780 order

I probably could have save a bunch of money if I had ordered my parts online, but I just dont want to deal with online stores when my computer breaks down... but thats just because I have really bad luck.

I have built my last 2 PCs completely from parts ordered online. Saved me a crapload of money.

I remember the very first thing i bought at newegg, it was a Intel Pentium 4 2.0A Northwood 2.0GHz Socket 478 Processor Model BX80532PC2000D back in 01/21/2003, after that 99% of my electronics purchases are through newegg.

Newegg replaces things no questions asked, with the exception of CPUs that were clearly installed backwards and all bent. They're a really exceptional company.

I just ordered a whole new computer. Intel Xeon E3110 (nearly identical to the E8400), Asus P5N-e, XFX 8800GT 512 (decided against 2x 9600GTs because I play on a 19'' monitor), 4gig mushkin DDR2 800, Antec Sonata III, Seagate Barracuda 7200.10

I bought an after-market cooler as well because the Wolfdale is supposedly amazingly flexible when it comes to overclocking. People report overclocking it to 4.4GHZ on stock heating with no problems.

edit: Good luck finding an E8400 anywhere until May, and the E3110s are almost non existent as well. I had to get it from excaliberpc. It's identical to the E8400 but it's made from higher quality silicon because it's a server processor. I'm really happy I found it because I was going to go with the Q6600 until I learned about the absolute feeding frenzy over these new 45nm CPUs.

My EVGA motherboard was dead on arrival, and after a little research I thought I'd try my RMA through their company as opposed to newegg and really it's been a positive experience so far. I really like how they have their customer portal set up so you can register your products and have all the warranty/manual information right in front of you for the stuff that you own.

I just ordered a professional video camera with some accessories from newegg.

Love that place <3 Saved at least $200 if I would've hunted around and bought everything I needed from retail.

EDIT: Actually, just looked through everything and after all my rebates I actually saved closer to $400.

theres a $250 rebate on the camera alone.

So, I got a new board with really no questions asked. EVGA's standard RMA program is a little slower than newegg's, but if you want to dish out a lot of money you can speed it up with cross-shipping.

So, it's finally built:
780i Evga Mainboard
Q6600
Patriot 9600@1200mhz
8800GTS
Two Seagate 250GB set RAID1

yay

My motherboard was a real piece of work so I sent it back and I'm getting a different one.

I wasnt happy with the onboard sound for my computer so I finally went out and picked up a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer. Much nicer.
