in recent attempts to quell fits of boredom, i've decided to keep a binder and write a haiku every once in a while. now i'm not sure if haikus (haiku? does the plural have an s?) have to be about season or whatever, and i really don't give a shit. i follow the 5, 7, 5 syllable rule, and that's it.
if you're expecting some japanophile bullshit about dragons and wintery snowflakes you're in the wrong thread (unless your haiku(s?) are about dragons and wintery snowflakes, and you post them, then i guess this could be the right thread).
also i suppose it's worth noting that i enjoy writing haikus because they're short and more fun to read than normal poetry (imo).
so here's some:
[spoiler]-----------------------------
Last day of April,
Tomorrow is first of May,
Captain Obvious.
-----------------------------
Bad taste in my mouth,
The light is killing my eyes,
Thank you, snooze button.
-----------------------------
How am I today?
Well, I'm healthy and alive,
And I am happy.
-----------------------------
Five five five five five,
Seven seven siete,
Five five five five five.
-----------------------------
Optimus Prime is,
Indubitably the best
Of the Autobots.
-----------------------------
If you enjoy it,
If it makes you happy,
It is time well spent.
-----------------------------
Totally blank mind,
Write down what comes to mind,
Look inside my mind.
