Saw it at midnight. I thought it lived up to the standard set by the series and I actually like it better than Temple of Doom

I am looking forward to seeing this. Temple of Doom was the lest best of the first three. As long as it is better then that one I am happy. I don't think it would be better then the 1st or 3rd. Those two were really good. Do they rely on special effects more then a good story?

My biggest beef with it is that they used too many CGI animals. There weren't that many but there were a few. I'm incredibly impressed with Spielberg's restraint. He shot it on film against Lucas' wishes and it truly looks (and SOUNDS, the sound effects are very consistent with the others) like it's an 80s Spielberg blockbuster with a modern treatment.
