A little late on mentioning this, but Radiohead is still touring the US: http://www.radiohead.com/tourdates/

I saw them in Charlotte. I don't think I've seen so many people crowded in to one, half-mile square. Setlist was mostly from In Rainbows, was pretty amazing.

I love radiohead. At the 1998 Toronto show I was front row in the pit. Well, not front row there was a chubby and short asian chick between me and the rail for most the show. She ended up leaving before the show finished because she was getting crushed. The one cool part of the show was when some dick head beside me kept yelling "THOM I NEED SOME WATER!" between shows. He was also being a dick and pushing people around. He was right behind me and kept trying to push me out of his way so he could get infront of me. The only problem was that everyone was so packed at the front it was impossible and he just ended up pissing people off. Anyway... Inbetween songs he wouldnt stop yelling for water. So inbetween two of the songs Thom motioned to Security to get him water. They got him one of those big 1L bottles. He was only like three people from the front so Secuity just handed it too him. When this dick head got the water he didnt even drink it. He opened the top and started pooring it on himself and then started flailing it around splashing everyone and almost hitting Thom with water. He covered me in water since I was right in front of him and he was taller than me. At this point the band had just started playing a song (Im pretty sure it was Fake Plastic Trees). It was cool how close I was because I could see Thom clearly look at me (OMG I made eye contact) after I got soaked and then he looked right at the dickhead who splashed the water on me.
Thom proceeded to give this guy the finger between each strum of his guitar. Then I felt the guy start to wiggle backwards into the crowed as security started to try and figure out what was going on.

That was the best Radiohead show I went too (One of three shows). Im not a festival person so I probably wont go see them this summer, but considering I have about 60 gigs of radiohead bootlegs I think I'll be ok lol.

I should check out their stuff then. I figured in a Radiohead pit all the kids would just be hugging and sharing their feelings and shit.

"orchestra seating" "orchestra pit" same shit, but pit usually refers to "mosh pit" i thought it was funny.

when you refer to "their" who are you talking about ponuh?

cause if you're referring to me, lets try not to be condescending... or can you not handle trying to be superior to someone on forums?

I just remember my ticket saying "PIT AREA" lol. The Radiohead crew had put up "No Moshing" signs all over the place.

that made me lol. put you know what.. back in the 90s people would jump around/mosh to anything. I think I remember seeing a live broadcast of woodstock where people were moshing their asses off to the counting crows or something ridiculous. And not for nothing, but In Rainbows has some pretty up-tempo songs. I could see people dancing.. guess it depends on your idea of moshing. PLAY THE FIGHT RIFF THOM!

Early version of Big Ideas (Don't Get Any) which obviously turned into Nude. It's coming off of the OK Computer era and I have to say, it's pretty neat. The song has an amazing climax with "you've gone off the rails", and I think it has more of a classic rock feel than Nude's dreamy waltz feel. (There's no sound for the first few seconds)

If anyone cares, here's a great performance of the finished product:
