I almost went to Distant Worlds last year or the year before in Baltimore but I'd just taken a trip and exenses/time off would have sucked. Friend of mine is going in Chicago soon.

Oh man, I would go just for this Opera "Maria and Draco"

I am very jealous. The set list looks amazing.

You're lucky, I'd love to hear them play To Zanarkand.

That would be a lot of fun to go to, but sadly the West Coast seems to have little representation. Getting passports and such in order to go to Vancouver (or whatever US/Canada card thingy they have), sounds like more trouble than it's worth. Not to mention the long drive.

Most lame tour ever. not a single california or washington location. this is going to be a big fail.

EDIT: more ranting Vancouver instead of Toronto? wtf. obviously he could not get better cities :P

The show was very cool. Here's the actual program from the Atlanta show:

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Arnie Roth (not Nobuo Uematsu)
FF8 - Liberi Fatali
FF8 - Don't be Afraid
FF1/2/3 - Medley
FF11 - Memoro de la Stono
FF10 - To Zanarkand
FF7 - Jenova
FF5 - Dear Friends
FF9 - Vamo'alla Flamenco
FF8 - The Man with the Machine Gun
Intermission
FF7 - Opening, Bombing Mission
FF8 - Fisherman's Horizon
FF13 - Fabula Nova Crystallis
FF13 - Blinded By Light
FF14 - Navigator's Glory (Limsa Lominsa theme)
Chocobo Medley
FF6 - Opera "Maria and Draco"
FF6 - Terra's Theme
Encore, FF7 - One-winged Angel, with special guest Nobuo Uematsu in the choir

I attended the showing in Toronto this past November. It rather amusing and funny seeing Uematsu in a white bandana/scarf wrapped around his head bobbing up and down chanting along with the choir to One Winged Angel.

Was a pleasant evening with an array of people in different attire from casual, to business to semi formal to cosplay (or a combination of them).

That's funny, When I used to work with USXpress trucking Co. in Colton,Ca as local driver. I did hual their trailer (26 - 53' trailers) to city of Orange,Ca from our yard. They were loaded with all of equipment and costume of Lion King Broadway show that is worth millions of dollars in each trailer load. Best part I was only one picked by those people to transport those load there and even see all of stuff that they did. Best part was getting Ticket to show in private balcony box with my wife and backstage pass as well for FREE! I was like (to myself FUCK YEAH! :dbanana: ) thank you to person that was in charge all of load that goes in. My wife was very happy to see those broadway show that she never been to and really enjoyed it. I like it too.

edit: well I don't see any of those show near my area so I hope they do come in near LA area in Californa.

Wow good to see FF8 get so much love on the bill, but no 11! Not even Distant Worlds, which makes me friggin weepy every time it appears in FFXI now.

There's a metal band called Powerglove that does nothing but videogame music. They were at my bar this week on tour with Symphony X and took the stage playing Terra's theme, and later played a HUGE FF4 medley and the FF7 boss fight theme (among others).

I saw Beauty and the Beast on broadway years ago, it was pretty spectacular. I'm sure Lion King gets a similar production level. Also, Debbie fucking Gibson as Belle. Awesome. lol
