I love the random necro bumps. I would like to point out, this is the ONLY forum out of a dozen or so, that I used to frequent daily (8+ years ago)....and still do. I don't read any of the old AV, car, video game, etc forums that I used to. |

I was never a huge forum guy to begin with, but there were a few FF boards that had discussions on all the old games and such that were fun to visit. But 8 years later, I basically check in to this one once in the morning (on work days), and I don't really go to any other forums. haha |

This forum is my second most visited site ever, according to my new tab window, even now that it gets nowhere near the amount of traffic it used to. Even while we weren't playing I probably opened up this site at least twice a day. Back in the day I had it open at work, when I got home, while I was playing, and then before I went to bed. I still remember when this place used to be the hustle and bustle of whatever was going on here on Ifrit. I get the feeling people don't really use forums like they used to though, it's a shame. Crazy to think it's been almost 9 years. |

I remember CKD forums and Blue Gartr being the hub of all FFXI end game information even well before I became a member of the actual linkshell. Thanks for still keeping it active through all these years! |

It is kinda of sad when you see people move away from a piece of technology that played such a big role in our lives (at least are entertainment-focused portion of it. haha). Really not sure what has replaced it, to be honest. Maybe smaller forums just had their userbase absorbed by a smaller number of large forums? I know that Reddit has subreddits for basically everything. haha. I get a lot of minecraft information from it, and I got a lot of Diablo III information from it back when I cared about Diablo III. Either way, I'm glad so many old names still haunt this place. We don't hear from some names that I wish we still did, but that's just the nature of the beast, I suppose. |
