ok, so I took my laptop in cause the video card is fried. I bought Windows XP to go in the desktop that I just replaced the harddrive on. I get this

One of the components that Windows needs to continue setup could not be installed.

Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

any idea what that could be? Its a brand new HD and a brand new copy of Windows XP home. It just keeps resetting when I click ok.
