Q: Are there plans to localize the game in Spanish?
A: Currently, there is no Spanish version in development. We'll consider it if enough Spanish-speaking users demand it from us. Getting good translators in Japan is hard, but if there's enough demand we will consider it.

I've spent the past 4 years being a raid leader and the last 3 years being the guild leader in WoW. I really believe that the best possible structure is to have a clear guild leader who is compassionate, selfless, just, and decisive. Have a clear second in command that thinks a lot like the leader who can be decisive if required when the leader isn't around. Then have a council of about 5 people with diverse views on how to run things that the leader respects. Fact is that sometimes a leadership council will be divided and one person needs to step up and set the direction and you live with it.

As far as a guild, you have to define your objectives. Do you want to be hardcore or casual? Do you want good players with bad personalities? Do you want bad players with good personalities? Do you want the best possible team or do you want to make sure everyone is included? Do you want people to come and go as life allows or only active players? These things need to be defined and enforced consistantly.

I also hope that the old Ifrit players end up on the same server. It would be fun to see everyone again, even if I don't end up sticking with the game.

They said they are looking into it for the 360.

ALot of people still use the 20 gig model. And I have a feeling ff 14 will take more than 20 gigs on its own.

I wonder if ps3 will do better in HD with that game than to use PC HD. remember I have quad cpu with dual video card that does HD on my HD TV that works!

Considering the ps3 and xbox 360 can both output stuff at 720 and 1080 p, they'll be able to handle ff14 in hd well enough, especially with the fact that they're being built based on ps3 base configs

The pc would just be able to handle a couple more effects and higher resolutions. Basically the same though.

They have said the required specs will be quite high, but what is "high". I mean the average PC gamer has a system that is good enough to play WoW, which isn't much at all as WoW is very forgiving. I am thinking it will be a little bit higher than that, but not drastically.

However they also said they want to keep a solid playerbase in FFXI, so maybe if your computer cant run FFXIV then you are stuck with FFXI lol (Unless you have a PS3)

You can kinda guess it already by looking at the ps3,
At the very least a dual core 2.2ghz -2.4 ghz processor 2 gigs of ram for vista likely the same for windows 7
And a 256 mb direct X 10 graphics card. Your welcome.

Yeah for sure DX10. DX11 cards will be out by the end of this year as well.

I'm covered with my PC + I have a PS3. HIGHLY doubt ill get it for the PS3 though. Can't imagine playing an MMO on TV. Not sure how all the PS2'rs did it.

I am running on quad Q6600 with dual video card that 512k each so that makes 1 Gb on ram and 2GB dual channel but I just waitting on win 7 to come out so I can beef up another 2 GB of ram so its another dual channel. My video card can handle HD in 720p and 1080p as well.

I am sure I can run that game but just need see what spec is needed for FFXIV is needed to run.

They have also said the logo for FFXIV is a hint at the gameplay. People have speculated that you will have to protect the casters (who are surrounded in the middle of the logo) and you will get attacked from all sides. Who knows, its all speculation and theories until SE says something.

I will be playing this. I am so ashamed of myself.

I really hope there is an ifrit server.

FFXI's community always amazed me in that fact that everyone pretty much recognized everyone else end game, even if you never talked to them you would still recognize them most of the time (( NA)). In Wow, I literally do not even remember seeing anyone outside of my guild, and I have no idea who exists outside of my guild. Though competeing LS members might have hated eachother, there was such a great sense of a community in FFXI that made the game unique to any mmo i've played.

so my point is I hope there is an ifrit server so all our remembered faces return and know where to go! Even though I never was in CKD I still consider everyone on this forum my friend and hope to be playing with whoever decides to play ff14.
