It's easy to see that a lot of people are going to be attracted to the lush surroundings of Gridania. Including many of us.

Once the vocal part was done with that preview got me pumped. Im ready for this. We havent even scratched the surface of this game's content. Love it or hate it, square is never gonna change. This game is going to be another carrot chase.

I just noticed at 2:50 you can see the Titan Summon, not being summoned, but clearly the same Titan from FFXI

Yeah, looks like a throwing knife. The gladiator job page mentions something about thrown swords.


He's even throwing a rock. They showed him doing that in one of the old FFXI promo videos they used to play at gamestop stores. 2:42 (The mithra with the greenlight staff) and 2:49 (the boy in front of the pillar of fire?) also look summon related. Of course, there's this freezeframe from 2:50 on the dot that looks like Ifrit:

The Titan though is pretty much the same with a darker skin. He was spotted in an older video too:

I guess my player isnt showing you the right thing, but watch around 2:50, you can see Titan, then this other guy you have posted above is shown after.

I agree with Yarr. I saw Titan in there. Not the first time we've seen the summons used by the beastmen against players. I think we watched them summon Ifrit in an earlier trailer, too.

Edit: Cleary we must be watching different versions? Maybe there's two trailers. Here's some screenshots from the HD version Ket posted in the OP.




If that's not Titan, then they copied him way too closely for some new mob in FF14.

So I was browsing certain FFXI/FFXIV forums and some dat-diggers found some audio files of Darth Titan and some adventurers about to attack him:


Adventurers:
"Hurry primal Titan, this realm is not big enough for the both of us. Hasten hence or suffer my wrath" etc etc.

"Prepare yourself foul primal, for your time here is short. From dust you came and from dust shall you return!"

Titan:
"You were unwise to come here..."
