For instance, if I want to make the level 9 axe...
Let's say I'm already level proficient in Blacksmith, Carpenter, Leathworker, Armorer, and Alchemist (which in itself will take a while)

Here are all the raw ingredients I would need to make the level 9 axe from scratch assuming nothing fails:
16 Copper Ores
5 Tin Ores
1 Ash Log
1 Walnut Log
4 Flaxes
1 Red Ochre Buffalo Leather Dye
1 Buffalo Hide
1 Sheep Leather
1 Bone Chip
1 Muddy Water
5 Fire Crystals
38 Fire Shards
32 Wind Shards
12 Earth Shards
3 Ice Shards
3 Water Shards
2 Lightning Shards
And a partridge in a freakin pear tree

I agree whisp. So far the gathering jobs are fun. The crafting jobs suck.

You really surprised when it's predecessor had TWO different optimal ways to face for two different ways to craft?!

I mean there's some shit in FFXI where, if made completely from scratch, you're looking at almost 20 materials and 3 crystals. Cooking mainly.

but Jesus...

(Blacksmith)(Looking for group) want to make pants.

Speaking of crafting I just ordered a lot of computer parts in preparation for this game. I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY ECONOMY.
