To sum up: Apparently after much bickering and trolling the dmg on a mobs is "roughly" the same despite your weapon. Get a lvl 1 w/e and try it yourself to verify because I haven't yet.

Other things/stats not withstanding such as aero with wind brand etc...I belive we are talking pure physical dmg here.

User 1: Stats are more broken than we thought
I was just doing Ureus with my LS and for fun I decided to use a weathered shortbow and warped arrows over my crab bow + silver arrows. The result? I did the exact same damage to him with autoattack and weapon skills, and had the EXACT same accuracy. That is completely insane, weatered shortbow has 32 attack and 96 accuracy, while a crab bow has 127 attack and 165 accuracy.

Stats are doing pretty much NOTHING in this game! How is it that bad? I thought it was bad, but I didn't know it was this bad! X_X

Food also does nothing, I eat a meat miqabob and my damage stays the exact same.

User 2: all of stat rings are useless too

the fake +7 stats ring which giving you nothing

this is a big joke

I rather have Mythril wristlet, giving me more max hp for real

User 4: Amma go test this, but im 100% positive you are correct as I tested conj before.

Oh yeh look at that lol identical damage. Quite bad!

TB > CAPS!! I couldn't get anyone to head out and hold Uraeus still will I did the testing so I went out solo and did a small test sample. I tested Crab Bow +3 with Silver Arrows VS Weathered Shortbow with Warped Arrows. I used Light Shot and Multishot only in this rotation for both tests: Multishot > Light Shot > Multishot.

Crab Bow +3 with Silver Arrows:

You nock an arrow.

Critical! Your Light Shot hits Uraeus from the rear for 41 points of damage.
Your Light Shot hits Uraeus from the rear for 31 points of damage.
Your Light Shot hits Uraeus from the rear for 30 points of damage.
Critical! Your Light Shot hits Uraeus from the rear for 39 points of damage.

As you can see the Critical Hit Rate + Critical Damage from the Crab Bow +3 is substantial as well as Light Shot normal hits shows a VERY low damage increase. I hope this puts this thread to rest.

P.S. I DO HOPE STATS GET FIXED WITH THE BATTLE CHANGES. I never contested that stats worked properly, just that SOME make more of a difference than others, no matter how minor.

We've been saying this since beta.

The game favors your rank for damage calculations above almost everything else. The thing about those posts is that they're testing it on Uraeus, which is an NM with a relatively high rank to most mobs. His high rank is cancelling out the already-quite-small gains you get from your stats.

If they did their testing on some equally ranked mobs instead of an NM they'd find that stats DO make a difference. But once you start getting a big rank gap between you and the monster, the rank bias takes over and cancels it all out.

These tests are hardly complete. I agree that its probably almost nothing, but like Ket, I want to see this tested on multiple mobs with multiple weapons.

Ive done LQs almost naked and never noticed a difference in the Damage or healing im doing.
