Thanks but I am thinking its all going to be short-lived come tomorrow...

3000 hit points on GLA in Ifrit video, 2000 HP on mages

storable leves up to 99 to maximize on SP

allowing 4 people to enter Darkhold

SP chains in grind parties

and then there is this...

http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/pl ... rtgt=0&p=1

Can only mean one thing...but we shall see

I don't know what that link is, Supa, but if it's hinting at a cap increase, I'm going to be real sad. Increasing the max level is not content, and I don't want to go back to grinding out levels as a "fix" for not having crap to do in this game.

If this patch brings nothing more than just airships and a choco to use as transportation to broken water leve parties, I don't think I'll be logging in any more than I have been. lol.

How come I didn't hear about that.

For anyone wondering what Supa's link is, it's the crafting recipe list on the Lodestone. It apparently includes has all the new items/recipes from the recent update post now. All of the new "Cobalt" tier items are marked down as Level 51-60.

Of course, it could mean that these items are just intentionally difficult for Level 50 crafters. FFXI also had recipes that were "above Level 100" so that even a level 100 crafter could not make them at no risk.

EDIT:

The red-dyed Cobalt Armor is nice.

I hope so, Ket, 'cause I don't want to have waited around for months for new things to do, only to have to go back to doing the only thing we've really had access to for the past year.

I'd hope we're like 6 months away from a cap increase, or something. But at least I feel liberated in my no crafting/no gathering stance I'm taking on things, so ranking up to DoM from 50-60 wouldn't be the end of the world.

I feel sorry for all you people wanting to level everything, though. haha

yeah i think those level caps are for the crafters. may just be rank 50 crafts. I dont want an increase right now. waiting 7 months for some more end game content then get hit with an increase in level cap is lame. "you want end game content, BAM YOU AINT READY FOR IT BITCH NOW LEVEL UP SOME MORE!"

I dunno man. I also viewed the updated recipe list for lvl 40 - 50 and there was new gear there as well. I am almost of the firm belief that most of the gear we currently have (even though some of it will be *dated) is enough for levels 40 -50. Again, not jumping to definite conclusions but in my own current mind a lvl cap increase in relation to the hit points of the characters in Ifrit video and a few other things they are implementing seem logical, will have wait and find out to be certain.

Grinding levels is not content, as from the patch the only content I really see is a new R15 dungeon and possibly 2 weeks worth of Grand Company quests and sidequests but this patch may just take this game in the right direction. They seriously need to fix disconnect issues, implement a party search feature, linkshell admin options, and better fix market ward systems before we have what I would consider something past a free-to-play Beta. They also need to re-map entire zones so it doesn't tax a PC's gpu like it currently does.

My GPUs don't get taxed at all really. One sits idle the whole time and the other gets normal usage.

Mine hits 99% with settings turned up. Especially at camps for some reason it will stay pegged at 99%.

One good thing about GPU hitting 99% - it's not being bottlenecked by anything else.

I agree something is wrong in this games programming though. Even the most powerful cards run really hard in max settings (unless you play low res), also it's pretty CPU hungry.
