First detailed E3 interview with Yoshi-P about 2.0:

A few quick highlights:

- Crafter abilities now on action bar, usable any time and not random, but require CP (works like MP/TP) to use.

- Recipe book for all recipes, shows what you do/don't have. Press a button to start crafting it. If you're high enough level there will be a second instant-craft button.

- Battle Regimen returning, "stunning and big!"

- Lots of new actions/abilities for exisitng jobs/classes, especially to cover PvP.

- Primals (e.g. Ifrit/Ramuh/Shiva) will be randomly roaming the open world rather than BC battles. Defeating a primal captures it for your guild/company/linkshell until you use it (or for a week or two max). Weather will change to let the entire server know the primal has been released. Primals under your command can be summoned (once) to any battle you deem it necessary.

- New instance raids on 2.0 launch that require 24-man alliances.

- Raids will be getting "difficulty" selections, similar to levequests. Will adjust rewards (Not sure if adjusts drop rates or changes available rewards entirely.)

- It may take "up to a month" to transfer all player characters from 1.0 to 2.0, and nobody can play during this time because you'd be updating your 1.0 character data. So to combat this, the 2.0 beta will be ran during this transitional period.

That sounds epic.

lol XIV really does seem to be turning into an epic game, and it better be if it's gonna pull me away from GW2 (with PVP in XIV I have no doubt it will pull me away from any other game )

Awesome! I know what I will be playing. Diablo is such a grind fest I might log on to FFXIV today after work and finally get Bard unlocked and from there reach max lvl.

I will most likely pick it up once 2.0 comes out because you know my laptop can't run shit. I was always a ps2 player on XI so i guess ill be a ps3 player in XIV. Everything looks pretty awesome so far I just wish it was coming out sooner.

i have given up on diablo 3. if i ever play a diablo again, it will probably be diablo 2. the third installment just doesn't have the same fun factor or replayability.

Haha, the latest patch notes seem pretty interesting, but I don't have a major draw to play it right now, either. I've been having a lot of fun with the Tekkit mod pack for Minecraft. Adds all sorts of cool crap to the game.
