More video today.

Tip for the SE guy who made this: Start your battle with a right click so you enable auto-attack, and you'll get some staff swings in-between your spell casting.

I like how the cursor under the monster shows the direction it's facing. I'm sure that will come in handy for directional-based attacks on monsters with radial symmetry like bee swarms or magic pots or whatever.

It's easier with mouse, but not terribly hard without. Not that I'd know

Greetings everyone!

For those of you who don’t know me from the Lodestone Forums, this is Fernehalwes—translator of tomes, lover of lore, and as of today, poster of posts here on the developers’ blog! From now until the launch of A Realm Reborn (and hopefully well beyond), I and my trusty partner-in-crime, the mysterious and lovely project manager ‘M’, will be bringing you irregular updates on the inner workings of the FINAL FANTASY XIV development team. This includes, but is most definitely not limited to, office tours, interviews, and lots of blurry photographs of cluttered booths and overworked programmers.

Speaking of blurry photos, why, here are a few of our soon-to-be-released Official Benchmark program!

So which server did the selected people jump on? I've been sitting on an invite since last Monday. I really need to check my email more often.

Night time, small pictures, from the dev blog.

For those who didn't know and/or notice, ARR's alpha did not support passage of time, and was locked at 12 noon. There has been no dawn/dusk/night time in any images or footage 'til now.
