Wow that's pretty awesome but the Summoner has mini-avatars of the prime summons is a little disappointing but I am sure they are just a powerful if not more powerful than FFXI ones


As for the limit break potency I think the caster LB's are less resisted by fewer mobs in the game thus having a lower potency to balance both of them out, as for the melee attackers all mobs in the game have armor and some type of resist against attacks's I.E shelled mobs have resistant's against piecing. That's my two cents anyways.

They turned ifrit into a standard mmo mage pet class summon -.- It looks like something you'd summon in EQ2/Aion/WoW etc

What might happen in the future (as did in most other MMOs) is that it's so small because we are only level 50, and when we level up those pets turn into rank 2 3 4 versions etc and usually get bigger and cooler. So in the future we will probably have the full versions chasing us around (though probably scaled down in size like in xi as to not annoy people too much)

And scholar is a aoe regen healer with a butterfly pet? I guess it makes more sense than the bow harp ranger bard but I never got a chance to play scholar in xi lol.

I'm hyped though, wasn't expecting 3 pet classes haha. It should be much easier for them to tack on a lot of jobs quickly in the future since they chose to go the double job for 1 class path. Comonnn BLU and BST!

servers aren't up anyway, you get an undefined variable after logging in as has been the case for a while I think lol

Seems servers are down now, Ya I don't think original servers are up for this phase, at least no Hyperion available at character select.

Maintenance going on, popped up about an hour ago saying they were applying a patch and restarting servers or something. Was a massive wall of text

Servers are going up. Someone pick a server fast before I veto it and send us to Moogle.

It's in the NA data center and we were on Moogle in Alpha iirc. The fact its "recommended for EU" doesn't mean jack really. Will just be less crowded, which is probably good, lol.

EDIT: Since the forums died. I'm making the call:

Go to Moogle. Tonberry is a Japanese server. Shouldn't matter that Moogle is an EU server, it's still in the NA data center, and it'll be less crowded and it's just for the first week til Hyperion is up.

I'm on Moogle, start posting names.

EDIT: Btw I love that I can put hotbars everywhere now. I put one over my chat log to act as a "all jobs" one, chocobo, gear sets, etc. (there's even an option in settings for sharing hotbars across jobs, but it's disabled right now) And I put one going vertically on the right for things like potions and stuff, pretty neat.

EDIT2: Dunno if it's just me, but the frame rate seems to be really improved.

Gonna try again later, keep getting disconnected.

NA servers still down. Although we could make stuff on a JP server I'd rather try out the new lag on the NA servers. So gonna wait a bit, still aiming for Moogle when the servers reappear.

Finally got logged back in to Moogle.

Grrr 5.8 GB download - 3hours ETA ah well should be able to get a few hours in tonight still - so long as serves are up!
