Looks like xivdb.com has data mined a bunch info on item stats and what not. Also has the skills for Jobs. Black Mage has a couple interesting skills and a couple that just make me sad panda.

I think the Mogaxe lost the chance to heal ability

Entirely possible some of those things aren't data mined properly yet. When dat-mined stuff first comes out on items with completely new special effects they're not usually listed.

I don't see any of the special effects on any weapons that I can remember. No fire damage on ifrit weapons, no HP on mog weapons, no special effects on relic weapons. It's likely it's just not listed.

EDIT: Incidentally, for whatever reason, Garuda's sword has way more DPS than the Curtana. With no special effect listed it's most definitely missing stuff still.

EDIT2: Mailbreaker, the GLA-specific weapon used to make the relic weapon, is now GLA and PLD.

Ket - I think the package items are a whole set of gear, like the stat total for 2-3 pieces maybe.

Edit - I hope you're right on Mogaxe, really wanted to see that proc in a dungeon when I saw you and Athel overpowering like crazy.

look at the insane level 0 "Adventurer" job abilities on xivdb.com. Meteor for instance. And Final Heaven with a potency of 9,000. that's 90x most other skills' dmg.

Those are the Limit Breaks. I imagine they're "Adventurer" because technically any job can use them (it's based on Role and not job) once your meter is full.

That's really cool, but I truly wish it was somewhere more visible. It'll be covered up the majority of the time. But then again, I can't think of a place it would be more exposed and still look classy. At least it's not a trampstamp

I plan on using it on my character :D (wonder if it's effected by the tattoo color setting in the character creator)

just watched the producer commentary about FATEs, really interesting, would be fun to see some large scale FATEs like Invading of a city; they talked about one where all the villagers get kidnapped and you have to save them and protect their merchandize. sounds fun. also cool that you dont have to participate if you where crafting or something.

Took ages to go through all the new abilities and stuff. My UI layout so far:



Bar 1: WS
Bar 2: Buffs/Abilities
Bar 3: Spells

Bar 6: Gear Set / Job Swap hot-buttons.

Vertical Bar 7&8: Consumables, Chocobo Whistles, Dye Menu, etc

Can't see it in the shot, but the Duty List is moved inwards slightly as to not overlap the vertical hotbars.

Yeah doing that shit for all the jobs wasn't fun lol , took me like 5 hours

So is the lv20+ class (GLD, PGL, LNC, etc) quests in this beta?

Not yet. Once you do the quest that gives you your first unlockable ability (around level 15-17 or something), go see the Wandering Minstrel outside one of the GC headquarters and he'll teach you your second one.

Saw this on reddit.

It seems after you have finished your company quest(~level 20), you can instant level 15 by talking to these NPCs as the correct class.
