So it looks like I'll have to log into my account on the PS3 in the morning of launch, eh? Ugh. haha. I never actually logged into the account on the PS3. Just got it downloaded and got to the maintenance window.

I'm not 100% sure but If its just a PSN account i am reasonably sure you can make one of those without a PS3 (since they are also used for PSP/vita stuff)... basicalyl worst case make a PSN account and if you can't enter your code online, borrow/visit a PS3someone's PS3, login on your PSN account and register the code or whatever, and then log in with your username/PW on PC as normal.

I imagine if you trusted someone you could tell them your newly made PSN account and CE code and have them do it for you as well.
And you presumably have quite a while to enter the code, although obviously you won't get your shit till you do.

ive been trying for the last 3 hours on trying to register. just keep getting error 3. clearing cache, 3 different browsers, private mode ect ect. nothing. fuck this game.

I was able to jump through all the hoops and actually register a preorder code on the account I login with finally.

I got my download code but it doesn't work.

Krellis the second code is case sensitive, so if you're not just copy pasta you need to turn on caps lock =P

PS3 . I'm all set on PC. I'm pretty sure I got one of the EU codes sent to me and they've already stated they should be regenerating codes and sending them out again. All in all, I couldn't care less if I actually got the install done on PS3.. it'd be neat, but I don't see myself using the PS3 all that much to play. I just want my CE items.

Yah, I don't care about the delay on the items, but since I'm not a legacy char (still kicking myself for that - I blame Kitty! haha), I need to get these codes working in order to get early access.

I never got a second email but was able to enter my promotion code and get my PS3 code. Game downloading now. It shows on my se account (or whatever the hell, there are like 9 different names and passwords for everything related to SE) as one of my games so hopefully this is all working properly.

Hopefully it all goes as planned. I get the feeling I'll get on Saturday morning , claim my name, and then come Tuesday have to do some weird start-over business with a new account and password and be locked out of Dead Legend forevah.

If you already had the Beta 4 client on your PS3, you could just cancel the download. That's what I did. It still registered my code into my PSN Services without actually downloading it.

They already said that the Beta 4 client is the same as the retail client. They'll just push out a patch right before Early Access.

Oh, I'm going to cancel it, then. I heard you didn't need to download it again, but I kind of assumed that it'd check for it and not just auto download it. haha.

after linking all my accounts to the members.squareenix.com thing i was finally able to get the psn code. had to log on to rideres ps3 to register it cause apparently the sony playstation network sucks balls online too. i better get my moogle hat for all this mess they put us through!

You need to have your own PSN account btw, even if you use Rid's PS3. Make sure you're logged into it the first time you log into your own SE account, or you'll end up linking it to Rid's instead.

yeah i had created a PSN account earlier today and linked it to the ps3(my own log on) when Rid got home from work.

A dev post about the pre-order/early acesss stuff seems to confirm that you need to log in from your PS3 at least once to link your accounts and your bonus stuff linked to your PSN account (which you already redeemed) will then get linked to your FFXIV service account, which you will pick.

Looks like Ryan is waking his ass up at 2am on a Saturday to try and play on his PS3.
