OK I just tried to log in over and over for about 15 minutes. I was closing and reopening the program every time. I wasn't just going to "play" over and over after logging into the game.

Server Full error every time. Never even an option for the queue.

I haven't been able to log in all night. Occasionally it would get past the character screen and into the loading screen, but then 1017 popped up again.

It'd be less frustrating if I wasn't able to get in after logging from the game, or staying idle for an extended time.. But getting booted while in the middle of an activity and not being able to log back in for hours is an extremely hard pill to swallow.

I got in mid dexter so 2.5 hours of play, and an hour earlier today. managed to get started on pld quest yay

1h30min maint inc, hopefully this will fix the issues, I ended up creating a fresh character on Odin to bypass some time, a lot of people on that server are having the same issue and can't login to their original server.

I know no one wants to wait to log in, but I hope you all understand why we believe this precaution is necessary.

Once again, I would like to sincerely apologize to all our players who have been unable to enjoy Early Access due to the tremendous congestion, the ensuing issues, and the frequent maintenance.

Everyone on the development and operations teams is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our customers, and we will continue to do our utmost to resolve the remaining and any future issues.

The only reason you logged in with no problems is most people have to work today. Come 4PM PST/7PM EST it will be hell all over again (unless you are already online).

The only way they can keep the duty finder stable, is to limit the amount of people logging in. Which is 2 hours of spamming 0 while looking at 1017 errors, then eventually getting the "unable to locate EU/NA server list" error.

Then logout of the client, log back in, and try all over again. Every couple hours there is a small window where they let people back in.

wow that's horrible. so SE is offering no long term solution aside from locking people out of their own game for hours or days. that's their plan for the long haul. no mention of this particular problem ever being fixed. they are now going to move on to "remaining and future" errors, now that this is resolved.


i logged in at 5am and left my character sitting around black brush station.

Yeah it sounds like people are trying to do the same, login and leave their character afk. Maybe i'll run home and do that at lunch lol.

I've been reading about it on Reddit and it sounds like the login restrictions (with the annoying 1017 error) will possibly be in place for a week or so until they really figure out how to address the issue.

This is what they get for having such a short open beta only 1 week before launch, and limiting it to level 20 so people can't use most of the content. They really need to get it in order ASAP because so much is riding on this game's success.

Yah. I called it out about it being no good having less to test in phase 4 than phase 3, and only have it open 3 days. haha.

I don't think they can do anything other than add more hardware to fix the issue. I really screwed up today by not bringing my token to work. I'll fix that tomorrow.

yeah i logged off witthout thinking. however im dismayed that yoshi didnt address any possible resolutions yet, other than limiting log ins. thats the worse possible thing to do and tpne of the translation makes it sound like its the only solutuon they have. wait until some people quit? if all of the na servers are that over capacity make a few more, especially for the late comers who were stalling their purchase pending reviews. i heard df/instances all share a central server so i wonder if its possible to just add more. also to what rid said, i dont belive expanding p4s content would have been a good idea, but making a progess saved beta test run a solid week might have. the previous betas i dont think had this issue because people werent rushing to get content done, they had no motivation to. i think that gave se a false impression on what population flow would actually be.
