i think they changed the way the service works in the meantime since so many people got this confused. i couldnt find anything that looked like the early screenshots of people trying to prevent others from making the same mistake.

i feel like its risky but i did it anyway

risky because: it says its going to close out one of your accounts. then it asks you to list your "current account" and your "intended account." it shuts down your current account. if i had listed whisp as my current account... bye bye whisp forever. under "current" you basically put the opposite of current, that is the inactive account. otherwise youre history.

also it is probably going to erase my legacy status. the legacy status is linked to the standard edition game i have. if it moves the collectors edition over to replace my present game, i might lose legacy, i dont know.

thats the risk.

that sounds scary whisp. also a bit silly that their way of correcting a mistake people made due to vague and hazy instructions is given with the same.

Id probably call into the help centre and talk to someone. Is that even possible? It seems like SE goes out of their way to hide any actual contact numbers.

oh and I have had no reply to my tickets.

I'm glad, Whisp. Talk about a total nightmare.

I know when Beta Phase 3, or 4, started, I was too lazy to hook back up my old computer, which had my login information for Risata/Ruby's account. I tried to use the S-E service system to get my old account information. I used the same e-mail address it was attached to, offered up billing information, and even provided account informationi for my other account, since they were all bound together, anyway.

They took a week. A week! to tell me that I needed to call in, because I didn't provide enough information. Needless to say, by that time, I had just set up the old computer, got the .txt file with the information, and had my other account logged in.

I get a customer service survey a day, or two, later, and you can bet your ass I was pretty snarky in my response.
