Hey

I heard some people claim that owners who have registered 1.0 Collector's Edition are entitled to the 2.0 Collector's Edition rewards like the Coeurl mount and Behemoth minion, etc.

If you have the Onion Helm, that means you registered the 1.0 Collector's Edition.

Supposedly the instruction is that you log out and log back in, and they will be at your delivery moogle.

Yarr tried and claimed that they weren't there. So I tried, and sure enough, no items were delivered. We both put in a service request.

If anyone has any news or tips about this, please let us know.

Yea, its true. I logged in yesterday and had all the 2.0 CE stuff in delivery. Don't really know how or why it happened but ill take it haha.

I did repurchase the game(reg pre-order not CE), so I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.

i guess 1.0 Collector's Edition doesn't supply those other items. i wonder what does??

Does it actually say you have the Collector's Edition like mine does?

Bear in mind that technically, your actual game registration code you used way back in 1.0 is supposed to be what identifies your game as having the Collector's Edition, not the Onion Helm itself, as that was a separate bonus code you registered.

I do however recall them saying that some collectors editions only had a regular edition game code inside the box. So instead they would use the Onion Helm to determine whether you should get the collector's stuff. I don't know where they said that though.

it just says "Legacy"
and then, "click here to purchase the Digital Collector's Edition"

there's no question i registered my 1.0 CE. 1-i remember doing it, 2-how else would i have played version one?, 3-i have the onion helm, 4-i still have the CE box.

Seen a few, but not many, threads like this on the official forums. One in particular where a boyfriend and girlfriend both bought 1.0 CE, both went through the exact same steps, but the guy didn't get his items and the girl did.

I got all of my stuff from 1.0 collectors edition. You entered something incorrectly somewhere. Did you perhaps use the buddy code that came with it instead of the actual CE code?

hmm thats it!

Now that you mention it, I did enter the buddy code back in 2010. I also entered the CE code. I don't remember which I entered first. I've been stuck with 2 FFXIV accounts ever since. In fact, I think Yarr did the same thing. This must be it.

Why did I enter the buddy code? Cause I wanted to be able to pass it out to a friend, and I thought I had to register it so that I could pass it out. Instead, to my surprise, registering the code... bound it to my SE account. I had no idea it would do something silly like that.


Oh well, I guess I can do without all those items. Whatever.

I got all the 1.0 and EA items this morning upon logging in.

At least if you missed them it's nothing insane. The Moogle Cap is the best item and it comes from EA rather than 1.0. Light helm has the same effect.

I guess the free mount is nice too, but that won't make much of a difference in a few days when you've farmed a ton of company seals.

I'm happy with my unicorn. I wouldn't even be using the coeurl anyway.

I also don't care about getting ALL the minions. I'll just get the ones I CAN get and be happy with them.

The Baby Behemoth is super cute, it does suck to miss that. haha.

The unicorn is a great mount. My GF was leveling another job till she realized CNJ gets a Unicorn and promptly changed.

I think that's the boat I'm in. I have my FFXIV 1.0 CE item.

I booked a ticket with SE through their online support. I finally got an email today that the request is registered and should be resolved in 48 hours. It took them 24 hours to even accept the request, I doubt they are going to actually resolve my issue in 48.

This is what I got back the other day when trying to get my ps3 pre-order code working.... This was 6 days after they sent me a notice they would respond within 2 days.

We have a contract out to a company that supplies a lot of our networking equipment, and they pull this shit a lot.

There's a stipulation in the contract that states all issues must be resolved within 7 days. If something isn't (and it's not our fault) then they take penalties to their payment and cover costs, etc. So what happens? If one of our support call tickets isn't resolved by the 6th or 7th day, it will either mysteriously disappear, be closed making it sound like it was fixed when they didn't do shit, or be closed and a whole new call will be reopened with a new number citing "further investigation" or "escalation" or something stupid, just so the old call is marked as "Closed" and a new one has a new date on it.

Call closed because the problem is already fixed? It's an intermittent problem, it only happens sometimes, it says this in the damn call notes. It's not already fixed, it just happened to be working when you idiots finally checked a week later, probably because we already rebooted it for the 20th time. But sure, close the call anyway, we love having to call and get a whole new ticket opened and have your guys not remember anything about trying to fix our stuff because it's not in the call notes anymore.

Assholes.

That's such a horrible support model. Did you have go with them based on price? I can't possibly see another reason to stick around (but the politics of higher ups often don't make sense).

No we "went with" them because the manager of 8 or so years ago let himself be talked into locking us into a 10 year contract, because what a great idea that is. He was one of those guys who, since he was "the boss", assumed he always knew better and had to make all the decisions without consulting people who actually know their shit.
