Congrats, Whisp.

I can't get myself to hunt achievements in this game.

For whatever reason, I just don't have the drive to do it. I think in part it's because my character is glitched, and I never got any 1.0 achievement points, so my number will always be screwed up. Or if they had counted up the points only in 2.0, and unachievable 1.0 stuff was considered a "feat of strength" like in WoW. I really enjoyed WoW achievements.

Either way, it's probably good, as it'll allow me to play other games when not doing something in 14. haha.

My only thought is that your character needed to be flagged as "legacy" to get the legacy achievements. Since mine isn't flagged as a legacy char, maybe that's the cause. Either way it doesn't really matter too much.

Just one of the reasons why I'm not motivated to go chop down 4000 level 50 trees in each zone, or whatever. haha.

Do you not get the "Legacy" category at the bottom of the achievement list? That is supposed to be there for any imported 1.0 characters (i.e. anybody with the survivor tattoo).

You don't need to have an actual "legacy" account.

Oh, i see those achievements, Ket. I see that I've obtained 0 of them. lol...

Granted, I wouldn't expect to have a ton of the achievements, since I didn't play 1.0 all the way through, but there are a bunch I should have gotten credit for. Kills, Leves, that sort of thing. I just thought it was odd. They are legitimate achievements, so it's not a big deal the numbers get added to the tally for players like Whisp, but it doesn't really incentivize me to go out and gain achievements, when I know there's no way to "compete" so to speak.

I do get the chocobo suit, however, so I got that going for me, and that's good. \:D/

But not the Chocobo mask!

Kio's still the only person I know (or have seen) with that thing. Rare as fuck.

You had to do the Chocobo escort quest over and over and over in 1.0. I believe it was to protect a total of 1000 packs of cargo. Each run had a maximum of 9 cargo.

It required you to do it 112 times, assuming you aced it every single time with no cargo lost. However, it was also a public event. It had limited sign-up slots so it was possible to get left out, or stuck with people who messed it up for you, or you could be stuck trying to solo it if nobody was around. It was also on a timer that only happened every 15-30 minutes.

So yeah, very few people were able to keep that craziness up. That Chocobo Mask is probably rarer than the White Raven earrings.
