Makes the fight really easy I would think. Expect this to be nerfed soon, as I doubt it was intended.

Yeah, I had no idea. SE hasn't really been nerfing unusual strategies, though. I'd be surprised if they needed this one.

The fight is already really easy. No need for these shenanigans...

I'd be surprised for SE said that was a valid strategy. It makes sense that this is possible though since that's how spell casting works from the user's point of view.

EDIT: Since Cor posted at the same time... yeah I don't expect them to actively try and nerf it

Weird, I'd heard if Ifrit couldn't get Inferno Howl off of someone (death, etc) he'd just instantly recast it on someone else. Wonder if only having one Healer changes that.

Sounds like it works like Pox (and all black magic spells) though.

Lots of strategies the player base uses is likely not how SE intended it, and they allow them anyway. The one I'm most surprised about being the "enrage" T2 method. I also really doubt SE expected everyone to hide in a ditch right under where Twintania divebombs to force her to go the wrong way. They likely expected everyone to be spread out around the arena and watch for which way Twintania is about to fly and side step it.

Oddly, the only thing they really went out of their way to nerf was training dungeons to speed run them.

Twintania wasn't exactly beaten week 2, or anything, so I think they were happy with how long it took for that first BG win, and thus why we saw a nerf to the fight overall like what, 3 days later? So they probably had no big desire to nerf the Dive Bomb strategy.

Turn 2 is a bit surprising, but it wasn't mentioned/figured out until well after most teams had it on farm status.

Not to mention, both of those currently have a weekly lockout.

Dungeons don't have a lockout, however, and at the time they nerfed it, Dungeons were a huge part of the "end game" simply because grinding out dungeons was how S-E was able to fend people off until 2.1. So they had to nerf that crap quick, so people wouldn't get bored! I mean what's more fun than running a dungeon fast 8 times a week? Why running it way slower 8 times a week, of course!
