I have zero desire to login, and these horrible updates just make it worse. I'm pretty sure i'm done for good. FFXIV simply isn't a good game, and won't get any better.

I struggle with the idea of going back to FF11 again, after all these years. I've no doubt in my mind that I'd enjoy it more than logging into FF14, but I'm just not sure I can commit to it. I know Kitty has pretty much thrown in the towel on the idea of FF11.

If there were such a thing as FFXI private servers, I'd be up for it just to only play with fellow ckd. But the idea of trying to rejoin the public world kinda kills my mojo. I can't really explain it.

I can understand you guys hating on XIV but, this change was asked for by the playerbase on forums, and Yoshi has pretty much been giving the base what they want, at a faster and faster pace. 1.18 IMO was a huge success and the dungeon is awesome, so I don't think its fair to play the "ohohohoh yeah THIS is what xiv needs immediately" card.

Indeed. This was requested by the player base. Also 1.18 is pretty good. I dare say 1.19 and 1.20 should round things out nicely.

In our defense, Fatty, you bounced back and forth between love/hate a few times :P Ours was more just a gradual decline. haha

If the stuff that Kio posted in the thread thread is true, and they limit crafting and such down to just one specialization per person, I may play again. As it stands right now, the crafting system really annoyed me. So much cross dependance, and the ability to rank everything up to 50, kinda overloaded my OCDness. If they remove my ability to do more than one, it'll make it a lot easier for me to just finish up WVR, and call it good. haha.

have the others cap at half the current level cap, or something.

seriously doubt theyd cut everyones crafting to 25, think we're misinterpereting the "master one craft" idea. maybe up cap but can only bring one past 50, maybe specialized abilities you can only get for one craft, dedicate to that craft's guild, etc. something like that.

Indeed, its probably going to be what ruby said. They is absolutely no chance they'd LOWER someone's lvl in a craft, so "master" of a craft is probably some mastery of 1 craft through quests and such, giving you access to special things, higher +1-3 rates, special gears maybe, etc.
